Is my PC good enough to run 30+ fps on low settings?

K, so here are my specs:
Dell Dimension DV051
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80 GHZ 2.79 GHZ
Windows XP
1.99 GB of RAM
I have it on low with my audio on low, and multicore enabled, and I'm only getting 9-17 fps.
From those spec looks like you'd be having a hard time on Dx8 low settings. What's your GPU?
Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family.
I just updated it and am now restarting.
Hmmm if you run at the lowest resolution and use an FPS config you should be OK. I'm not a doctor so I can't give you a one hundred percent estimation.
Integrated. Probably not well... Grab a fps config and whack the dxlevel to 80 and you might pull it off.
Nope, you won't. Not with that integrated GPU.
Why is every goddamn PC I get has a integrated graphics cards.
It runs about the same as my laptop with extreme graphic changes, so it should work.
This isn't a laptop?
:wtc:
I'm sorry, but you won't.
I have a better rig than that, but it still struggles with the game.
Intel Pentium Dual T3200 @ 2.00 GHz
3 GB RAM
Intel 965 Express Chipset Family w/358 MB Accelerated
(Actually, I'm not sure which is better: My chipset or yours. Your CPU is better for sure, but that won't really help all that much in the GFX department.)
(This is the computer I normally play with, I'm saving my pennies for a better rig.)

I have a laptop >.>
And yet the one current computer with integrated graphics isn't a laptop?
No.
It's a desktop.
My old computer had integrated graphics and could barely run it with tons of configs running. Once I finally found the right one that gave me playable fps, it still crashed my entire pc after firing as a Soldier a few times.
I wouldn't bother, unless you like being frustrated.
My computer has a nvidia 7050 intergrated. Fucking horrible but the game is playable.
Just try it. I ran TF2 at low settings with 15-30 fps on a 1.7ghz processor with some terrible on-board graphics card and not even a gb of ram
What the fuck.
I ran it with this config that made my models and shit orange a black.
I still got like 9-17 fps.
Well laptops weren't meant for gaming
I'm not using a goddamn laptop.
And here is a PC I'm thinking of buying by saving up some money( I already have a -$185 extra)
I'm going to just copy what it says so tell me if it's any good:
PC Name: Gamer Xtreme 1000
CPU:Intel® Core™ i3-530 2.93 GHz 4M L3 Cache LGA1156
MotherBoard(?):GigaByte GA-H55M-UD2H Intel H55 Chipset CrossFireX Support DDR3 LGA1156 Ultra Durable™3 mATX w/ Onboard Graphic, HDMI, DVI, Display Port(Digital Display Output), 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, USB2.0, SATA-II, 2 Gen2 PCIe & 2 PCI
Video Card:NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 1GB 16X PCI Express
Sound:HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO
Memory(I think this is RAM):4GB (2GBx2) PC1333 DDR3 PC3 10666 Dual Channel Memory
All for an estimated price of $619
Good Deal?
And by subtracting the money I already have I get around $434 dollar laptop.
Oh and it's Windows 7
TF2 Is the least GPU heavy game i have ever played
Build it yourself and you can get a alot better than that.
well i tried playing on my laptop, ASUS UL50VG, and i got like 10-15 fps on lowest in-game settings possible. here is a link to my laptops specs http://www.productwiki.com/asus-ul50vg/ and http://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-UL50VG.22898.0.html
Woah. I guess a GPU really does make a difference, huh?
I could run TF2 on my shitty laptop on low-medium with:
1gb ram
2.13ghz single core
128mb ati mobility radeon x600
idk why but my laptop has 4gb ram , intel core 2 duo 1,8 and nvidia gforce g210m . still fps is shitty

You should custom build you're PC's. Go check out the PC Building Forum.
Why are you enabling multicore with a single core CPU?
And anyways, that integrated chip doesn't support Hardware Transform and Lighting, which means that your CPU gets stressed even more

Well, it uses multithreading. :I

That's an awful GPU. For gaming you should get at least a GTX260.

I'd contest that. I own a 4870, which effectively it's competitor, and I run most games maxed out, meaning I think that's a medium/high end card. A 4670/240 will suffice unless he does infact need that much more power.
