From the looks of it it's some kind of hairpiece for the Scout, a sword for the Demoman I presume and an amulet as a misc item.

One more for good measure eh Valve? In my honest opinion I have no problem with all this, all it's doing is helping more people find out about TF2 and possibly get some more players in the userbase.

Eh, same here. The hats don't affect gameplay unless you're seriously in need of therapy, and any real weapons there are become available for drop and craft shortly after.
