• CEVO Bans Natascha and Wrangler

It's old news, but I searched for it here and saw no threads. Then Valve fixed it, and gave tighter cone and faster rev speed. After the Engineer update, people think it is overpowered just because it is annoying. And I can't understand about the Wrangler's ban either.
Because apparently it's normal for competitive elitists to ban everything(Here I add a . due to popular request)

Kinda stupid about natascha. They're acting like its really that overpowered. It can barely kill at medium distances and with good teamwork as well as expert snipers in CEVO heavies are just bait. The wrangler however was kinda of needed since its basically ruining a good chunk of CP/defense maps.
I thought CEVO had banned everything, even hats.
Removing game elements is stupid.
I hate competetive players. They are all whying about how is this OP and this is UP. And Valve listens to them so they make changes to it, but with that they ruin the weapon. Perfect example: The Sandman. I loved that weapon. Then no uber stopping, and stupid tradeoff, then pepole who are stunned can run around now. It's ruined, thanks to the competetive idiots. I can see that valve gives a "nerf" to the wangler , slowing down its speed, lowering the shield. They are as bad as those smash brother tourney idiots.

Natascha doesn't make sense. Any class can counter any heavy if they're not dumb.

I don't see why they couldn't of just modded natascha to it's original stats, why do competitive players ruin the fun for everyone else, with their nerfs and complaints, I thought Team fortess 2 was supposed to be a casual and fun fps. :saddowns:

I remember playing with Cheeseist, one of the members of FP's now pretty much defunct CEVO team, and I was using a Direct Hit. After I killed him a few times he bitched and bitched about how I should stop using it bawww because nobody uses it in competitive tournies bawwwww.

Natascha is probably banned because it fucks with your controls same way as sandman does. If heavy hits you even long range as a scout you practically stop moving and it gets frustrating. TDH isnt banned because its useless at crowd control and smaller splash damage actually means less damage in general, if 3 people are clustered quite close together and you hit a normal rocket between them which does like 80 damage on each player you did total of 240 damage, but with direct hit you would maybe do 100 damage on a single target because splash damage is so small, therefore its quite balanced. Sandman was awful idea to begin with, keep stuns in RPG games. And wrangler quite frankly is overpowered with less players. On pub i can see how it isnt, you got spies that can sap them or backstab the engi but on 6v6 you might have wrangler sentry and the other 5 people there just to make sure engi stays alive. This combined with no damage falloff makes it really difficult to make any push if there are well placed wrangler sentries.

Back then no one realized just how amazing the airblast was and they got it nerfed within a week of release. They didn't even give it a chance. It's balanced [I]now[/I] the extra damage, but it went literally [I]years[/I] as a worthless weapon. I suppose the only exception is the razorback which was retarded from the start.

And this is why I don't play competitive TF2. I decide what my loadout is and how I play a class, not someone else. The sad thing is that these competitive players have a decent amount of influence over what gets changed and what doesn't. I like stuff the way it is, even more so if someone is using a powerful weapon; I take it as a challenge to take them down in a way that won't kill me. I enjoy that.
