When do we get a Winter Wonderland Workshop thread?

I have some items I would like some feedback on that I started last year, but would like to get them submitted in time this year! Will the thread be up after Scream Fortress ends on the 16th?
youre free to make one
Coming from one of the people behind Workshop Wonderland themselves- It's something we're definitely still thinking on. There's a lot of stress and sleepless nights that go into making a site and running off the heels very shortly after Workshop of Horrors II (which we also worked on!) leaves little time for rest. That being all said, the success that came with doing the charity stuff that went with last year's Workshop Wonderland is worth all the time that gets put into it.
It's all for a great cause, and if we can get some medals and badges in-game for participants like last year's event, it's all the more incentive for people to contribute their work, and we'd love to show more of what the community can do.
It surprises me that people are already using last year's workshop template thumnails for this year's winter items, so the more and more people use them, the more and more I just wanna say "to heck with it, let's do one more community showcase. At least for this year, anyway."
All-in-all, it's a big maybe, leaning on the edge of yes. Give me and void time to make a new thumbnail template and plan out the event details, we'll probably make a thread about it soon enough. We'll definitely let all of you know soon enough!
When it's actually winter. Like come on, it isn't even Thanksgiving yet. Don't be like all the stores and do that shit ridiculously early.

Except making items does actually take some time. People will start working on Halloween stuff in September or even August. With Thanksgiving break and finals for those in school, getting started on winter items this early is pretty normal.

You're right, the Winter Wonderland should've started right after Halloween ended.

The Workshop Wonderland team ain't holdin' people back from starting their winter items early, so all of you feel free to do so. Expect a thread by either me or void within the next few days though, that being all said. Items take awhile to do, so do 'em when it's most convenient for you!
After talking with void, we're gonna make Workshop Wonderland 2 happen, it looks like. Prelimanary thread will come in a few days tops- more news and updates (for medals hopefully, charity pair-ups etc) will follow when we get them and if we get the okay.
I'll make the new thumbnail template either tonight or tomorrow and mess with promo stuff alongside it as well, so get ready. Anybody already using the old templates, just be prepared to update them. We're excited to see what all of you can do!

Can't wait! You guys always have something amazing in store for the community!
Genuinely curious, what do people think of the idea of festive weapons with knitted covers?
that sounds really comfy

Sounds like it could work. If they do skins this year I hope they put weapon skins in the game that actually fit a festive or winter theme...
So disappointed last year when only like a few handful looked winter/festive at all. More so since I'm an active collector of festive themes and what not...
The only one that I got, and of the few that I genuine felt fit was the one from the gunmetle collection that looked like a wrapped gift or a flannel cover to it. Which didn't come stat tracked till they implemented the stat track too later on:

How about a taunt title "A gift for you" where the merc's whip a present out of their asses that says "For you" with a smugg ass look on their faces then they proceed to throw it at the ground or something.
I hope for new christmas skin's :v:
