Some people have made a Discord chat so we can coordinate games together, talk on voice chat, and just generally discuss TF2.

If you like TF2 or would like playing it with FPers, please join!

very cool, though it seems dead atm
I hope more people would use the voice chat, it would be great to talk with fellow facepunchers.
I am usually in the voice chat myself. Hit me up, I can play some casual pub games and mvm sometimes too.
That is actually a good idea !
If i wasn't that bad in english i would probably join the voice chat, might aswell try one day.
More people should join this
I've never hated my soviet accent and grammar more than now
Sorry if this is off-topic, but why have people suddenly come to prefer Discord over Mumble? I generally prefer open-source software over proprietary clients that I know little about like Discord, but the consensus seems to be in disagreement with me.

Did they? I didn't see anyone mention Discord untill now.

Mumble is much better than Discord and Teamspeak, I don't know why all my friends use those two lesser softwares

You don't have to host your own servers for one.

Polished, simple, and most importantly convenient. Having the ability to send a simple link to organize a huge party for matches/scheduled events without the need to download any software is a huge plus for me.

though i like mumble, discord actually has a really nice and simplified UI and it's really easy to use, and it's nice and easy to connect to servers, and it's nice for both text and voice
but its overlay sucks
I begrudgingly installed this program to coordinate stacks for competitive matchmaking and I've gained two ranks already. More people on this site should use this discord so'z we can matchmake more.
Would be pretty neat if we could get a lot of people for 6man match makes more often.
Beats solo queue.
Lots of shenanigans. Always a good time. Looking for some buddies to queue with? This is the place. Also free blow jobs, complimentary of me (Riley) and Pai.

Generally my friends and I use Discord for hanging out and stuff and Mumble when playing vidya
Discord's design just lends itself to being a good chat room with voice chat functionality and it's pretty simple to just jump in or out of it. Mumble is also simple in that respect but it's (intentionally) pretty bare-bones, so we only really use it when an overlay and better group management is needed (moving people from channel to channel, linking channels, etc.)
