City of Heroes - Games - Facepunch Forum

Does anyone play this? I'm playing the trial right now and I like it a lot. I know this OP kind of blows but I don't really know what else to say, I didn't see another thread and I just want to see if any other FPers play it. I'm really considering subbing for a bit.

Used to play it, long long ago.. This along with City of Villains. Ah one of the best MMO's I've ever tried, in all honesty. Now their making a RPG called Champions Online that will be like CoH/V.. Hopefully it'll be as good as them to, if not better! To answer your question though: No sorry, unsubscribed a long time ago ;(

How far did you get? I've got an 11 scrapper natural, a 5 blaster tech, and a 3 blaster mutant so far. The scrapper's my favorite because I have defensive jumping on him so I can climb any building with windows or slanted walls :D

I used to play this as well. A bunch of friends and I played together, probably some of the most fun I've had on my computer ever. Anyway, the same company that made this game, Cryptic Studios, is making a similar game, but much more 'hardcore' (hope that word sums it up well) game. It's called Champion-Online. Coh sucks City of villians is the better side of the game

I disagree. I personally think the game shines when you get to the point where your Super Group and you go out and battle groups of Super Villains, in their lairs full of traps. That's extreme fun. I remember one group fortified the bank in the liberty city instance and we fought for 5 hours, and eventually called it a stalemate.

I still prefer CoV. Mastermind class is awesome

Very true. I had one villain, and the mastermind class was it. I liked to summon my ninja legions :). I had more fun on my controller on heroes though, they could do so much, and when I played high level controllers were always in high demand so there was always something to do.

Please tell me the feud between heroes and villians isn't as loser filled as the fight between alliance and horde?

The camera angles in the game and repetitive quests turned me down

I played this game, I have an epic archetype on both Hero and Villain sides. Then I got bored to shit.

30 month vet here. The game really doesn't offer much for someone like me as it's longevity is shit.

I got a Corruptor to level 35, great game! And thinking about it makes me want to play it again...

I hit 11 yesterday on my natural scrapper, shit goes a lot slower when it's not a double xp weekend...

They have double XP weekends now? Awesome! Shame that I work at weekends :( Redownloading the client now, what server is everyone on? I'm on a European one, but I am thinking of making a new character named SIR BRAMLEY!

I'm on liberty, but I have no idea where it is. And it was only last weekend, I don't know when/if they're going to do it again.

Well on most games I play.. they did it a few times a month.. like once? maybe twice? Dunno Actually they hardly do it at all if I remember right. lol

Double experience weekend was awesome, got 10 levels so now I just need to get one more for flame mastery Also I play on freedom

First Pay2play mmo i've ever played. And i loved it. I had a lvl 50 Martial/Dark Scrapper, it was awesome. Sometimes go back for the roleplayings!

I got a 50 blaster, 50 scrapper and a 50 defender, but I hardly play anymore because of TFC and WoW... :/

Played a while ago, and contacting support as we speak to get my account back Can't remember password/security questions >.< i think i had a 40 something blaster although my cousin was playing around on my PC and deleted it D: I think I'm gonna be a Dominator with Gravity mastery/Psi Assault/Soul Master as my patron power

Such a boring game... The combat system...oh god. I will never touch this game again. I had more fun making my character then I did actually combatting.

I made a scrapper, guardian and blaster... Still a horrible combat system
