Wow, what a fantastic and well formed post that clearly explains your conundrum.
I'm suprised it's survived this long to be honest
Good times in tier one, free trial black ork with full gale runner set
Skaven and updated ORvR soon. Can't wait
Mythic broke my heart. I hyped the game to hell and back and got others to play. *sigh* But the game didn't deliver. Star Wars and Guild Wars 2 it is, then.
Oh well back to darkfall then.
2 years and they didn't improve on shit. Enjoy.
Just started playing. Not too bad really, but lots to improve upon
The game was awesome back in the day. Only thing that sucked was laggy fort fights. However, they promised to improve it. A couple months later, they took out fort fights. That's pretty much Mythic's approach to fixing things in a nutshell.
So has the game improved at all since release or last year?

kind...of? best thing I'd say would be to go try it out with the free 14 day reenlistment thing. Roll up a guy on Badlands server because there's fairly balanced RVR activity at all times of the day. I wouldn't say the game has improved within itself so much, but RVR is slightly more intuitive, and a newer community that actively participates in fair RVR (atleast on the aforementioned server) made the game a hell of a lot better for me.

Last I played (Feb and March this year) the game was still very rough. Half of the Chosens DPS tree was bugged or flat out didn't work. RVR was mostly PVE until the other side showed up. The gear differentials and grind to get that gear was insane (1-3 scenario tokens per match, need 1000+ for the weapon). PVE was still dreadfully boring. Class balances still exist to the point of almost unplayability. They might have fixed it since then, they are redesigning the ORVR right now on the patch servers, but I doubt most of the problems I mentioned will change for awhile. They are really slow at fixing their game.
Fuck skaven, where are my lizardmen.
Everyone says this game is not balanced for 1 on 1 fights. But balanced for team fights. What I don't understand is, that if it was balanced for 1 vs 1 wouldn't it be balanced for teams too?
And by unbalanced I'm not talking oh he has 2 more DPS skills than me. I'm talking SERIOUS imbalance like it would take 6 people to kill a warrior priest or DoK. If you dared fight them 1 on 1 you're in for a ass beating in 10 seconds. You would have no chance if you were a Shadow Warrior or engineer.
^ That's why you need to team up. The game is about fighting together.
Wow it's been 2 years? I remember playing this as it was released, it seemed to have so much potential but just never got me hooked.
i though it was about orks and space marines
fucking dissapointing title
It would obviously have 40k in the title. And you would have heard about a 40k MMO already if it had been out for two years already.

More info about them is on the warhammer online website
If I am not mistaken I believe Warhammer Online has lost more then half their population. Pretty sure it's only hardcore players and people too broke to get another game. I did the 'endless' trial thingy and it was nothing to exciting for me to buy it. Pretty crazy knowing it's been out two years.
