I'm pretty sure someone noticed this before. I'm talking about the animations of this weapon, mainly how the player acts. When you look at someone holding it, his hands clip through some of it and the reloading animation, putting a magazine in, is unnecessary. Am I the only one who is even just a bit annoyed by it?
And did anyone try to make some sort of mod to "fix"/improve it?
Does it really matter? REALLY? I mean, if you're watching someone long enough to notice that then you're pretty much dead anyway.
It doesn't really matter. I just thought I'd point it out and see if someone else did notice it or made some animation mod for it. In some machinimas it also doesn't look that great.
Give him a break. He just noticed something. Sheesh.
I've noticed the hand clipping thing, but the reload part I only noticed vaguely and never thought about it. It does kind of look bad. Maybe it's a magazine-fed AR3...:rimshot:
That's because Valve never changed the reload animations from when the AR2 was still an OICW in the older concepts.
If you replace the AR2's model with the old OICW model, the animations suddenly fit better.
I noticed this. It's pretty annoying, but I don't mind.
Noticed it on my first or second playthrough.
if you reload your last magazine there stills a second one that you cannot use D:
At least the AR2 HAS a reload animation for players, damn shotgun doesn't.
Valve is really lazy with guns if you haven't noticed
Any new guns in Ep1 or Ep2?

Do you really need new guns? You got a dodge charger at least! How a dodge Charger ended up somewhere in russia is mystery enough.

First off, not Russia.
Second off, is it really that strange? I could think of some good reasons. Maybe it was shipped over by the mob, or maybe a rich guy with a taste for old American cars bought it.
i also noticed that the sound and rate of fire of npcs using AR2 is different
i could find many possible explanations inside the game universe for that but im pretty sure valve was quite lazy on that
it doesnt really bother me.. i just wanted my AR2 to shoot faster and have that cooler sound :(
