Ok, so, FarCry 2 is glitching badly. Symbols in the game are getting screwed up, as well as some textures. I've tried reinstalling several times, even manually deleting all of the files, and changing graphic settings, putting everything on low, etc. but it persists.
Here is my problem:
Remember the little "hand" icon that appears whenever you can do something such as open a door or get into a car? That picture fucks up and looks odd. Remember the syringes at the bottom of your screen? Same problem. Remember how you can access computers in the gun shops and it shows pictures of the guns to the left of the gun name? Same goddamn problem. And, on top of that, some random tire textures and tree textures turn purple/red/dotted depending where I am standing.
Please help me, it annoys the shit out of me.
Screenshots would be nice, and for gods sake, don't ask for help without posting your specs...

So if by fuckeds up you mean the textures are replaced with other textures. A Restart will fix 99% of the time. I get this quite often with Garrysmod actually... my game will freeze up and then unfreeze and textures will go fucking nuts. Garrysmod and planetside...
If that doesnt work. a Simple a gun would solve the problem.
Don't bother playing that game, it's really crap. Literally it is the same 3 missions repeated throughout the whole game, like, literally. The graphics are very nice but the gameplay is fucked.
Sounds like your graphics card is dying, the only other possible cause is that your hard drive is so badly fragmented, the filesystem is getting unstable...
Try defragmenting your hard drive.
Actually, I'd be glad for anything to break up the monotony that is FC2.

2.4 GHz Intel Duo Core CPU
4GB RAM
GeForce 9600M GT
64-Bit Windows 7
Directx 11
Also, I never had this problem before so I don't see why it would suddenly happen like this. Also, I just bought the video card 3 months ago, if It's already failing, fuck me.

I actually enjoy the game (which is why I'm concerned). I've really gotten over the fact that it it monotonous, considering that nearly EVERY FPS GAME is monotonous. You'd be hard pressed to find an FPS game that doesn't involve "go here, shoot this, retrieve this, fight this" etc. The missions may have different stories behind them, but no matter what, you're always gonna be either exploring, retrieving an item, killing something, or achieving something in a special way.
I actually care more about the gameplay and game mechanics of a game more than the stories and such of a game. If I don't enjoy killing things in a game, and running around blowing stuff up etc. then I'm not gonna like the game. And I can tell you, I definitely like spraying fire on grass and watching it slowly climb up a hill to engulf a car and a few people in flames, or firing grenades at people, or grabbing a sniper rifle and blowing people's brains right out. So I love the game.

I also helps to change gun load outs once and a while. I got board with the old pistol/ assault rifle/ RPG combo, but if you switch to a load out you are not used to it becomes more entertaining. Like USI/ Grenade launcher/ flamethrower. The only reason I stopped using the primary weapon grenade launcher is because I kept blowing up ammo piles. :suicide:
By the way, I think my problem may be due to the fact I used a trainer to get diamonds, but I'm not sure. The trainer didn't even work.

Clean the inside of your laptop, either open it or buy a can of compressed air. I think your GPU is overheating.

Atleast, not well. Graphics settings seem to make no difference to the performance.

The game only becomes monotonous if you're a pussy and play it on too easy a difficulty.
As far as glitches are concerned, it was quite notorious for having some game-breaking bugs. I never encountered any during my time on it though, I only heard about it in reviews, so I'm afraid I have little advice for you.
