For the life of me, I can't remember if this was revealed. I can't find a picture, but there's an extra expansion port for SOMETHING on the back of the drums. I'm not talking about the 3 cymbal ports. there's a orange port for the pedal, then an uncolored port below that, followed by three colored cymbal ports below that.
Has anyone confirmed what the uncolored mystery port is? I was hoping it was just a place to put another drum pedal for some double-bass action.
Does anyone know?
I believe it was originally for a second kick pedal, but as of now it does nothing. It may be for a high at or something in future games, or dear I say it, more cowbell
It's on the Guitar Hero World Tour drums too, and I thought THAT was for a 2nd kick pedal, but in fact, you get a splitter to plug in 2 kick pedals to that one purple port..
The mic?
It's not for the mic because it has a different port.

wtf... i made my friend bring his bass pedal to my house and we rented GH: Smash Hits just to have double bass
The port on the GHWT set is for the cable you get from Red Octane so you can adjust sensitivity and stuff.
I think.
It currently has no use. When Harmonix comes up with a use for it they will update it.
There is also a port on the PS3 Controller(ps3 has no stage kit) which has no use.
You mean that port on the back that looks like a PS/2 connector?

No, it's an ordinary 3.5mm headphone jack, just like the cymbal expansions and the bass pedal port.

Perhaps it's so the device can be used for other things.
so you can output to something other than your console.

This?
Ok so the smoke machine is slef explanatory but what the hell is the other thing?
Some sort of light?
I think its like a moving spot light thing, like you get at big rock gigs
it's a LED light that has 4 colors and is synchronized to the tune of the music. it makes a light show with the fog
However, this mystery port is not for the stage kit. the light plugs into the fog machine and the fog machine has a usb plug that goes into the Xbox.
