[For Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Windows]
Intro
Blacklight: Tango Down in short is Call of Duty without the single player. Some of the differences include: Huge customization, steampunk/futuristic settings while maintaining realism, and the fact that it was developed by a Zombie Studios who are ultimately very Indie. Oh and it's dirt cheap. Like 15 USD.
Story
There really is none. The two teams in the game are not Red vs. Blu (that's TF2, silly.) but is Blacklight vs. The Order. Blacklight is a USA Covert Ops team and The Order are rebels and ex-Blacklight members. Besides that, there is a Black Ops mode where you and 3 friends can team up and fight The Order along with these pale civilians called "The Infected" and the story behind them is while the Blacklight Team was going in to SomeRandomCityThatHasNoNameBecauseOfNoStory some infection broke out and infected a bunch of people. So you're fighting zombies and soldiers. Great.
Gameplay
The gameplay in Blacklight: Tangodown is quite similar to Call of Duty. There are 5 classes, 12 maps, and 7 gamemodes. First of all, one of the differences is that in all team games, the team spawns are the same all the time and are protected by turrets as opposed to them alternating around the map. Something else is that in the Bomb Mode instead of just "holding X" to arm the bomb, you have to play this little minigame that has to do with connecting wires or something like that. Now, a huge feature of Blacklight: Tangodown is the gun customization. Sure, in Modern Warfare 2 you could have an ACOG Scope and a Silencer or whatever. But in Blacklight: Tangodown, you can customize the magazine, stock, scope, muzzle and pretty much everything. Since this is the way it is, there are 5 "base" weapons which have their own classes. The Assault Rifle, the Sniper, the Light Machine Gun, the Shotgun, and the Sub Machine Gun. As I just said, you can customize the hell out of these. There are even these little things you can hang from the body of the gun, not unlike those little trinkets you hang from your cellphone. As you can imagine, there are "trillions" (according to the developers) of customization combos for each gun. Some people may say "Holy shit that's awful: Tacticolol overload". Personally, I like it.
Single-Player
The only existing singleplayer is you can play the Black-Ops missions solo, but that's not nearly as fun and even then they only take two or so hours to play through all four of them.
Conclusion
Blacklight: Tango Down looks like a great game to me. (I haven't gotten it yet, as I lack Xbox Live at the moment) and I would like you guys to post your thoughts.
Extra
There's a review by IGN for this game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2TnE--gPK4
They gave it a 8.5.
Anyway, enjoy.
HUGE problem with aimbotters and shitty connections / server system.
Great game though.

i got very frustrated by this game, lots of spawn camping in particular.
Great...game..?
The xbox version is SHIT. I imagine the PC version is the same. Just lagg, long waiting and just imagining what your favourite weapon would look like with that new sight you want.
Or you could just buy black ops for more customisation features and shit.
Not happy I spent £10 on this really.
the co-op missions are good for maybe 1/2 playthoughs, and the MP is just imbalanced nonsense.

also the menu is an eyesore and consoleriffic.

EDIT: Are you in EU or AU?
The AI is pretty stupid. Hard to find decent servers, when I do they tend to have hackers. I regret buying the game.
Waste of $15, especially with Black Ops out with some moderately in-depth customization
Is this worth putting 15 dollars down for?

no

PC.
I bought this game when it first came out on Steam because it looked interesting.
Went into a multiplayer match on a subway level, got a KDR of 46/2.
Never touched the game again.
I'll be honest with you guys; I don't get it. I've watched like five different reviews and they all said "This game is great. 4.2/5" or "8.5/10".
PC.
I assume this would be part of the problem. My experiences with PC ports of Xbox 360 games network wise haven't been good.
ITT: Butthurt PC gamers who are pissed that it was a console port, even after the developers admitted the PC version was an afterthought; on the steam forums.

I'm butthurt because I wasted $15 on something with pisspoor gameplay and terrible mechanics, I couldn't care less if it was a port or not
I'm butthurt because I wasted $15 on something with pisspoor gameplay and terrible mechanics, I couldn't care less if it was a port or not
Expand please. What was so awful about it besides the fact that networking on the PC version was half-assed?
Except COD is much more fun and actually has people playing.
Except COD is much more fun and actually has people playing.
This thread isn't about Call of Duty. Dumbass.
It's not that bad
Too bad my fellow Australians can't access this game for PC, since It hasn't been rated yet.
