I'm guessing very. And Valve will probably try and file some kind of lawsuit against you for using it in a not for profit program without their explicit consent.
Why dont you use Source SDK, and you can extract it to get HL2's source code. But not the engine itself, I thought it was just the base and using C++ express. And good tutorials :v:
Not to mention you can make it from scratch, or you can modify HL2 or HL2DM.

Lrn2Read please.
From what I know it's really really hard though.
You can only use the code in source sdk. If you actually manage to extract and use hl2 engine's code, you will get sued to shits.

Which wont happen, unless if someday someone makes a program, that allows us to decompile dlls.

Somewhat helpful.
Main reason I require it is that there is no other way to obtain it throught legitimate sources.
Doubt valve would give a fuck to be honest, as long as you don't make the source openly available and the mod is free, which it has to be (under the TC).
You could always email them.
I remember the conflict between MissingInfo and Valve. At the end Valve said that they are ok with it if the code is completely self written without fragments of the original code. However that was with the beta source code.
Diwako has helped my problem, please lock.
