Hey, this could be a stupid problem, but for some reason my Steam client won't launch correctly.
I have had my account logged in for the past few days to my computer and everything was fine, except for some bizzarre and fucking annoying burst-lag in every source game I played (CSS, Neotokyo, hl2dm, ZPS, ect)
and now for some reason it simply isn't working. Here is what happens: My computer starts up, I terminate a few unneeded, unrelated processes and steam never loads up.
technically its 'running' at 24-25k but it seems like the client never launches.
So, without further adue; does anyone know what the problem is? How to solve it?
I remember having a similar issue a while back and solving it by restarting or something, but that isn't working this time around.
Terminate the steam.exe process and try again.
I had tried that, and finally got it to work.

EDIT: Wait, about the burst lag, anyone else experiencing this sort of thing? Know whats causing it?
