Okay I had free passes for several games I have, and I never gave them to anybody, and now they're gone. Do they expire after a certain time if I don't give them away?

You could've figured that out yourself.
Yeah they expire. I figured that out with TF2. That's why when I got CS:S, I gave it away immediately.
