I'm sick and fucking tired of it. I'm tired of going to...let's say a CS:S server, and I say "Fuck, I didn't see him" or something and then the Admin starts chewing me out for cursing. I remember one server had a swear filter so I decided to go around with f-u-c-k and I keep doing it that way until said Admin comes along and starts the process. I ask her why I shouldn't curse and she replies with that younger kids will hear it. I say that we are playing a M-rated game and they shouldn't be here in the first place anyway, why do we have to sensor our selves for people who shouldn't be playing this anyway? I get so frustrated with these people.
Then don't play on the server. Find one that lets you swear.
Admins can actually make the game E rated with plug-ins anyways, so it doesn't matter. They do their own shit.
yeah because there isn't thousands of other servers to play on

These threads show up all the time. Yes it is the stupidest thing of all time, and servers shouldn't have it, but it is their rules. No one is forcing you to play on their server so put up with it or get out.
Although I do agree 100%. It's perfectly ok for little Johnny to see that man's head get blow off, but good lord the work "fuck" is bad for children.
What is this like the 20th thread on the subject, I've made one before.
i was so gonna post that.

Too bad more than fifty people beat you to it.
You act like you need to curse in games.
Well it needs to be brought up again... not really but whatever, I didn't see those other threads and I just got out of one of those severs and I was in rage mode, sorry.

No you don't need to but If I want to, I will.
It's worse in games where the in-game characters swear.
I agree with the fact that the kids shouldn't be playing the game but if the server is no cussing then just find another server.
It's not that difficult.
It is there server they can do what ever they want with it and if you don't like it then leave.
Games are made for children.
Andrew Spanno mentions this situation in his third TF2 video.

Makes a damn good point.
I hate it when you get banned from a server for saying the slightest curse word like damn or crap.
Especially in TF2. The characters themselves swear.
Whatever. Go to school and learn more words.
First of all, like was said, if a game is M-rated, then people shouldn't complain.
Second, even if there are kids playing, chances are they hear that kind of stuff all of the time in school anyways, and if they don't they will. Welcome to life.

How is crap a swear? Do they get offended over the soldier saying maggot too?
It's not like kids haven't heard swears before.
How is crap a swear? Do they get offended over the soldier saying maggot too?
Don't ask me. I went to a server, I think it was eGO, and I said crap over the mic and they threatened to kick me if I kept using profanity.
So I quoted this.

I see no problem with not wanting profanity, but crap and stuff is extreme
Also, little Johnny hearing it is a terrible excuse, because if they are playing at all then they should be exposed to it, we shouldn't surrender our freedom to give them something they don't deserve.

Do as I say, not as I do. :D
these kind of servers are fun to troll

This. The first time I cuss is always an accident. Every other cuss after that is just icing on their cake.
What about the admin who decides to log into a game of cs:s after being at work all day to support his family.
Then his child enters the room and starts hearing people screaming profanities at the top of their lungs.
That is a pretty good reason why some admins make a rule against swearing.
