Recently decided to start up my first Shammy (tired of lawks and mages). Thinking of speccing Elem. but don't know what gear I'm looking for. Anybody got some tips for me?
General mail caster gear, haste crit hit/spirit(1 spirit = 1 hit)

What about the druid account bound leather items, and what he said to fill the gaps untill end game?
Wait until the Shattering patch comes out to start your shaman, and roll dwarf.
Well coming from more of a lock base, prepare to have a lot more downtime and a much tougher time leveling. Coming from a mage base prepare to do less DPS and have slightly more downtime and less mana than a mage would have.
Enhancement is much cooler.
It's got dual wield, it's got lava, you can turn into a wolf, you can summon more wolves, you can shoot lightning from your axe...
What more could you want?
Apart from decent DPS anyway.
That's all an enhancement shaman lacks!
Honestly leveling enhancement was much more enjoyable on my shaman. Although I did have the BoA chest/shoulders and the two 1h maces. I went elemental/resto at 80, didn't much enjoy enhance at 80.
I hate shaman with all my soul.
