I just tough of something guys (I really should'nt though, becuase thinking can harm you.)
When you pay the $10 for Half-Life 2, you just pay for 807 MB (846,914,120 bytes) worth of maps
If you already own a Source Engine game, that is all you pay for.
Really? 807 Megabytes? I just thought that was really funny.
But if you DON'T own a Source game, it sorta is worth it. You get the Source SDK.
People own own Garry's Mod but don't own Half-Life 2, you pay for maps.
I don't get what you're trying to say. The world's greatest game could be made up of 10 mb and I couldn't care less. You're paying for the great gameplay it delivers, not the quantity you download.
You also get the countless hours spent on the models, textures, voice acting, and story development.
Don't forget the overall wonderful experience you have when you see the game through to the end.
[sp]When the end gets released, that is.[/sp]
You're not just paying for the maps either, you're also paying for the models and textures. Not all the content is included in the source 2007 gcf and stuff.
And monkey island is under 20 megabytes. What does file size have do to with quality?
Obviously, Modern Warfare 3 is a great game since the free multiplayer weekend was supposedly 13 GB.

You are not very smart.
I don't recall a game ever being named Half-Li.
That settles it. I'm going to release a 90GB game which prints "hello world". Send your cheques to my private yacht.

You mean you got maps in your game?
In most of my games i only get random sounds an i have to imagine what the game is like.
Next you'll be telling me that you got a book with only 200 pages of words!
10 dollars is cheap for such a wonderful game. You get the amazing gameplay, the characters and storyline and some incredible music to top it all off. Definitely worth the money!
(plus the fact that I got the whole series for £6.70 during the Steam summer sale was awesome too)
OP, i know what you mean. I got pissed when i bought Doom II: Hell On Earth on Steam and it was only 19 MB worth of maps. What the fuck ID?
[sp]Woo, 2,000 posts![/sp]
I can't believe minecraft has no maps and it's $27
