so now that you have your cod, are you going to buy the map packs

i havent played black ops yet, but what are the chances of four maps recycled from somewhere being put into a pack of multiplayer maps and sold for 15 usd? also, what are the chances of you buying that?
did i mention there are rumors of the next one being monthly subscription?
rumors of the subscription have been roaming around for months now.
But I do agree they are probably going to release shitty map packs again.
I might buy map packs if they were cheap, but $15 for 3 maps? :frog:
*Obligatory CoD is shit post here*
As long as they are fairly priced, sure. If they cost 30$ for 8 maps then fuck it. 1$ per map would be more like it (even better if less).

Obligatory have you even played it reply
Also they better not do like DICE with BF:BC2: "Oh we are giving you new maps for FREE!", and we got the same maps, just with the spawn points and flags moved around (which we could have done ourselves if they had released mod tools).
Maybe 5-10 maps for 800MS Points.
1200MS points for 3-5 maps, go fuck yourself.
Well, they're working on mod tools for Black Ops, so giving the map packs a price would probably not work well, considering you'd be able to recreate the maps with the mod tools.. right?

On PC, yeah. Also they might have us pay for mod tools.

After playing it I can safely assume that Activision could shit in a plastic case, write Call of Duty on the cover and sell it for 59.99 and it would still sell millions. Go ahead, ask me about it. Or just rate me and never reply again.
There is probably no chance of me buying the map packs at the prices they've been putting them out at lately.
Who the hell buys map packs anyway.

certainly not at those prices

You'd be surprised, the figures weren't as bad as they should have been
I'll buy a map pack if it's like 5€ and actually has content in it.
Anything over that, nope.
I'd only buy zombie ones.
Buying map packs for Call of Duty is fairly pointless. You might as well just wait a few months for the next installment in the series.
If I can get 7 or more maps for $10 or less I'll probably buy them if they're good.
Didn't buy map packs for MW2 so I won't for this, unless of course they include zombie maps, then hell yes I would because the current ones do not excite me.
this makes me remember about my friend that was crying because he could not buy the MW2 mappacks...
It was totally pathetic. I felt bad for him, because he looked like an MW2 dipendent, and he would even ignore school just for an hour of gameplay :frown:
If it's very cheap perhaps but if it's like MW2 map packs then no. Black Ops is alot better than MW2, I already love it! Feels like I'm actually playing a Call of Duty game again :3:

*Obligatory bandwagon post goes here*
so now that you have COD are you going to make more shitty threads?
i have an answer, unfortunately, for both questions.
nope
Probably not going to buy map packs, but if they release DLC like a new short campaign then yes.
I'd only buy zombie ones.
The zombie maps will most likely be bundled with the other multiplayer maps, which means you'll likely be paying $15 for a zombie map.
It's inevitable that a vast majority of the community will buy the maps. People invest a lot of time in the game, and the maps get stale after a while. Paying $15(it's inevitably going to be this price) to renew the fun will seem like a good payoff for the players. Anyways, due to success, expect Activision's greed to rub off on other developers/Microsoft.
I'm not paying $15 for some maps.
Treyarch released Zombie maps for free on the PC version of WaW. I just hope they continue that. :ohdear:
I'd pay for maps if they were cheaper, especially if they included more zombie maps.
The only map packs worth it to me were the WaW map packs. They came with pretty decent maps (I love Nightfire) and a zombie map that was worth it. Just saying, WaW is the only CoD I had real fun in (CoD4>MW2). I don't give a shit for the others.

CoD releasing short campaign DLC? Pfft, HAHAHAHAAHAHAH!
They only release maps.
waiting to see if they're decent maps, i've got no problem paying 15 bucks for 5 well-designed maps, but if it's 3 shitty ass maps like in the past, then forget it
i hardly ever buy DLC for any game, i only bought 2 things for Oblivion and 1 Red Dead DLC and those are literally the only ones i've ever gotten, so i'll have to wait and see
After undead nightmare, my expectations for DLC is very high.
