Hello fello Facepuncherans! This thread is for remembering and sharing about long gone games, that should have continued, or should have been more popular. Ill start us off. Army Men, I played this during my early childhood, been gone for a while... Army Men: Sarges Heroes, another version of the last game, it was a shooter series based on army men. Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, This is my all time favorite 3rd person shooter, look it up, i'm sure you have never heard of it. Star wars Battlefront, you guys should know this one... Half-Life, :P If you guys know these, or want to share more, comment below.
We have had thousands of threads like this before. Damn I believe the latest one is somewhere on page 2.

Wow, i actually know that game. Anyway, let's go with something completely predictable, Baldurs Gate, and then something that i liked even more, if only for the multiplayer/Toolset/Ability to play as a goddamned Dungin Mastur, Neverwinter Nights. Also Jedi Knight series, best series of Star Wars games in my opinion. Ultima series, some of the games where fucking gold, although others were pretty terrible, seven was especially good, while nine was excruciatingly bad. Legacy of Kain series, haven't played many of the games, but what few i have played were great, and the original Blood Omen is particularly incredible. Gokujou Paradiso, errrrrr, i don't even know what to say about this game, but i will try anyway, it's a parody of 2D sidescrolling shooters, were you fight enemies such as, uhm, giant balarina panda's, and err, submarines with a giant living cat's head mounted on it, which also happens to be wearing a pirate hat. Also some of the characters you can play as include a penguin, a baby, and a girl with bunny ears riding a giant dildo. Original two metal gear games. Might and Magic series, not Heroes by the way, although supposedly they use the same setting. It's a series of true old school CRPGs, some are good, some are, well, not. Also dragons are apparently aliens in this world, came from a comet in spess or some shit like that. Also the Wizardry series, which i largely prefer, again, it's a series of old school CRPGs, but this series is much better in my opinion, and the newest of the games, Wizardry 8, well it has some of the best character creation in the history of CRPGs not based on Dungeons and Dragons. Arcanum, totally awesome game, similar to Fallout in many ways, it was also made by many of the same people whom created the original Fallout, although this is very different because of how unique the setting is, you see, this is a steampunk fantasy setting, which by itself is extremely rare, but it also is rather different from most other games of this genre, in that magic and technology do most definately not mix, at all. You see, all characters have a rating of their aptitude towards magic or technology, this goes from 100, meaning complete aptitude for magic, to -100, meaning a complete technological character, this aptitude changes depending on your choices when developing your character, learning a spell will increase you magical aptitude, while learning a degree in a branch of SCIENCE, will net you an increase in tech aptitude. Having a high aptitude for magic simply means that magic will work much better in your presence, while technology will work much worse, or not at all. This means that if you have a high magical aptitude, you will be nigh untouchable by technological weaponry, but you cannot yourself use technology well, and even the beneficial technological items will fail in your presence, and ofcourse, the reverse applies for someone with high technological aptitude. Infact, shopkeepers of magical shops will even throw you out of their store if you are to technolicaly inclined, as your presence would interfere with their work. Ofcourse, you could also try to stay somewhere in the middle, and as such you could use both technology and magic, but your magic will be weaker if your magical aptitude is low, and the same goes for technology. Man i have rambled on way too much about Arcanum now.

I'd say my favorite games as a kid would be the Crash Bandicoot Series (on Playstation 1, none of that PS2 shit). Then would come other classics like: Starcraft Diablo II Half-Life Heroes of Might and Magic III
Some old wargaming favorites:
My first PC strategy game, can't remember exactly when I got it.
My favorite game of all time.
& Both got sequels (Way of the Samurai got a second and third game, the third being on PS3; Timesplitters 2 was directly followed by Future Perfect), but I really wish they made a major comeback with a good amount of work into them instead of, like in Way of the Samurai 3's case, feeling like a very dated, low-budget title. But I can only dream, eh? :v:
I loved this game.
That was such an inventive and fun game for its time and technically still is.
AOM is one of the best games ever made imo, been waiting 7 years for a proper sequel.
As long as it's not as bad as Age of Empires Online.
