Losing internet when playing SOurce based games - Games

Everytime i play a source based game like css or gmod i lose my internet connection it's annoying and i cant play normal anymore plz help thx

my internet becomes shit whenever I play l4d or tf2, but it still works for the most part

dude. this happens to me all the time. I got BT white box thingy and whenever I play L4D it either resets my router and afterward (even if my router doesn't crash) Firefox loses connection (and Internet explorer) so basically I lose all connection unless I wait 30 min or restart my computer. however my router crashes on Multiplayer Mods like synergy all the time

I DON'T need other problems i need somebody who can fix this my internet is very shitty its 300/400kbps so but i never had a problem with source games but i lagg at every game my game freezes for 3/4 seconds and plays again anybody help ?

Check your process list in task manager for CPU and memory usage. My problem was Zone Alarm firewall using a ghastly amount of CPU trying to handle all the connections on certain applications... replaced it with Comodo Firewall and my games/programs work flawlessly.
