Rayman 2 - One of the greatest 3d platformers ever. - Games

As a continuation of my previous thread about Rayman 1, I give to you: Rayman 2 the Great Escape! Released for PS1,N64,PC,GBC, and later for Dreamcast, and PS2. Like the first one, this game is awesome, and it also set the standards for 3d platformers along with Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Crash, Spyro, Conker etc. The story of this game is that robot pirates have invaded the world, and Rayman has to collect 1000 lums and obtain the 4 masks to awaken Polokus, the world's spirit. Unlike the generic story of the first Rayman, the story is pretty interesting. The gameplay is very simple; just go through worlds collecting lums, killing enemies, and defeating the guardian of said world. Pretty simple concept, but is fun. The graphics were great for that time, and I still like them to this day. The atomsphere is a bit darker from the original Rayman, the music is also still good, but not as great as in the original Rayman. This game is indeed, fucking amazing. Like in the title, one of the greatest 3d platformers ever. If you can track down a copy, pick it up. It will be worth every damn penny. Also this SHOULD work on Xp. It did for me, not sure about Vista though. This game spawned 2 sequels, Rayman 3, which I didn't like, and Rayman:Raving Rabids, which I haven't played, and probably never will due to the fact that it's not really a Rayman Adventure. yeep, yeep the other day me and a friend went through a wiki list of all of the PS1 games to remind us of the good ol' days i'd rather play all of the old PS1 games that i remember than 99% of the new ones, they were hell of alot better than some of the games coming out today.

Never played 2, but the First one for the PS1 was fucking amazing.

This was also released for the DS. Funny, I was just playing a little while ago. Oh man, I loved this game. For some reason I was unable to save in the N64 version. So I never got past the Menhir Hills. :(

The first ever rayman was much better.

This is downright my favorite N-64 game. Even though I hadn't played it in years I remember the fun I had with it. This game I really recommend. [b]DON'T PLAY RAVING RABIDS = NO STORY LINE[/B] They need to continue making Rayman games other than that horrible wii crap they made. and bring back the story line and adventure.

God, this was among my favorite games on the 64 (I had a lot, so sue me) Beautiful game, and I loved gliding with his spinning hair. Also the upgrade later on where you could actually fly, even though it didn't last long. Believe it or not, but I also specifically remember the Christmas I got this, when it was just out. Grandparents house, I opened it up, face filled with glee, then had to wait several hours, because my grandparents lived 2 hours away, so I had no 64 to play it with :(

Why do I want to remake the 300 trailer in Rayman? [b]Edit:[/b] Also what language were they speaking in the N64 version? Raymanian or some shit?

The first video has Linkin Park tacked on for no reason, the second one is unavailable, and the third one is filmed in ultra slow-motion for some reason.

The 2d rayman game on the PS1 was alot better.

For those of you who say the 2d versions better have obviously not played the 3d ones... I have played, and beaten every single rayman game and I have got to say that the 3d ones are 100% better.

I have both Rayman 1 and 2 Rayman 1 was all right, I liked Spyro the Dragon better though. Rayman 2 would frustrate me at times, so I liked Banjoe Tooie better Maybe I'll play them again someday

I remember this, awesome game! But for some reason I had a French copy. It was horrible :(

But my god, Rayman 1 was the best game ever, i swear. The level where you surf on a cake in a frying pan is just genius!
