• Source SDK Base?

Hey, I was just looking through my tools list on Steam and I noticed Source SDK Base. Can someone tell me what it is?
Its the Soruce engine files.
Loads up a Source game like Lost Coast to see if Source works.
its a base to run some mods on
It come's with Source Games. A lot of Source Mods require it to run.
