I have this broken ps3 and I wanted to know if I send it to Sony,are they gonna fix it permamently?Or it's gonna be broken again after 10 months?Should I buy a new ps3?
Well the YLOD is likely a hardware fault, so they'll probably replace the unit and put your HD in it. I've had my PS3 for several years now with no problems, so the chances of it breaking again after 10 months, you'd have to be quite unlucky.

Funny because it only came out in 2006.

[QUOTE=Snoops;26176512]Correct.

Hes saying what that guy said was That the PS3 will last a few years, but not long.
Well it doesn't necessarily break after a few more years, just have to wait and find out don't we? I bought mine in 2007 so 3 years, in case 'several' for some reason sounds like 10 to anyone.
depends, if you just leave it in a well ventilated room then you'll have no problems. if you're in doubt, just get a slim cause i haven't seen any ylod stories for it.
What's a permament
3 ways to stop a PS3 YLODing: Make sure it is in a well ventilated room (as Kid Cudi said), make sure there is plenty of space around the PS3 and that non of the fans are blocked, and leave it flat (i.e. so it isn't like this | but like this __).
You can't permanetly fix a hardware problem.
Hardware is going to fail sometime no matter what.
