Which games to get. - Games

As most of you know, christmas is coming in a month or so and i'm hoping by then i'd have finished building my gaming rig, but because i've never gamed on a computer before, I have a severe lack of games and I would like suggestions in what I should get when they're (hopefully) reduced in price invarious sales including the Steam Christmas Sale. I'd have around £40-60 to spend. PC Games I already have; CS;S Portal Plants Vs Zombies Civilisation III Alien Swarm [highlight](User was banned for this post ("Choose for me" - SteveUK))[/highlight]

Why isn't Half-Life and it's sequels in that last?

Mount and blade Warband Crysis or Crysis warhead Both are pc exclusive, and both are fantastic.

I'll just list a few games that I'm planning to get later that might also interest you: Present: Age of Empires III (10 cents holy shit, only today) Call of Duty: Black Ops (Jump on the bandwagon if you want, but I've been hearing mostly good things about it from FP users who actually bought it) Minecraft Fallout: New Vegas (Not quite sure about this one) Future (if you want to wait a few months): Deus Ex: Human Revolution Portal 2 Diablo III Games I already own but recommend for you (off the top of my head): Morrowind Oblivion Team Fortress 2 (I've been playing since beta and I'm still not bored) All of the Half-life games Bioshock (Might consider getting this when it is on sale on Steam, does this commonly around Christmas or black friday for $5) Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Deus Ex Starcraft 1/2 Unreal Tournament 99/2003/2004/3 (Not sure about this one, the first 3 were great back in the day but online has died down, and I'm not as big of a fan of the 3rd one but many are) Day of Defeat: Source

Pretty solid wishlist, although I slightly regretted buying BC2. Mount and Blade: Warband is definantly something you should look into, it's really the only game of it's kind. The gameplay is kind of like Oblivion except centered on horseback riding-based combat. There's much less of a focus on story though and the quests are fairly generic so don't expect to be fighting some unique monsters or going to other realms. Later in the game you also get to command massive armies and siege castles and even get your own faction.

New Vegas, if you like retro-futuristic wastelands.

Also, you should get The Orange Box instead of Team Fortress 2 if it's on sale and you haven't played Half-Life 2 and/or Portal.
