Is Borderlands worth the 50% off money? - Games

Well. Do you think it would be worth the money?

Yes, I don't think its worth the full $50.

If you're playing alone, I don't really think Borderlands is worth buying, even with the 50% discount. Get it if you got friends who have the game and are willing to play it with you.

No, Boarderlands is an awful game that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemies. Alternatively, if you like grinding in MMOs but hate people you might like this game. It's nothing but grinding.

You get weapons to kill hockey masked guys to get slightly getter weapons to kill more hockey masked guys to get slightly better weapons and so on. The only real changes are the scenery eventually (by which I mean after several hours of grinding) you to to somewhere less desertous, and the numbers of everything steadily increase. There's little to no story, no one talks (they're replaced by paragraphs), and the weapons are bland and generic. It's monotony on a disc.

It's not even worth your time, dude.

Pick up fallout3 if you can. I couldn't put more than 30 hours into borderlands.

Wait, weren't people constanly saying how great it was at release? Some people were even saying it could be the best game of the year. What happened to that?

I don't understand some of the above people. I played it with my Friend, and I had lots of fun. I played about 6 hours a day during whole week.

I only had pubs to play with online, they fucked off to get loot, I got raped by mutant midget psychos. Roughly 10 hours single player total, pretty much nothing changed.

I thought it was pretty damn fun for the first 2 playthroughs, but after that there is not much replay value. Just rent it.
