I'm having trouble keeping the gnome in the car, any suddgestions?
Depends where you are.
There is a trick to get it stuck in the back, but other than that just drive cautiously.
My friend drove slow and at parts punted it ahead.
Clamber onto the back and stick the gnome under the window, preferably in a corner but I could never get it there. Only steep hills and jumps will knock it out, but when it does, it's like a punt by the Zero-Point Energy Field Manipulator.

Activate buddha, and just go at your own pace without worrying about the helecopter and shit :buddy:
I tried putting it between alyx and I, but it just sliped over either alyx's hot legs, or my invisible legs.
Jam him through the back window, he glitches out but stays there goddamnit.
u hav to selotape him to the char or els he fall out lol xD
I tried parenting the car to him, but when I ended the relationship, he disappeared.

I just got it legit!
It was a pain on the ass keeping that little bastard in the car, there was a bit I had to take it with the gravity gun and just run on foot through the level ducking under trains when the helicopter started shooting.
I never noticed the gnome, as I had just finished downloading EP1 and EP2. And when I finished one, and played two, I didn't even notice the achievements until I got some :(
Today played EP2 through for first time :D Got every achievement except grub one. Missed 10...
For gnome I just drove cautiously or threw it with gravity gun. No problem until helicopter comes
I had to use noclip in the game to get that achievement

Yup, thats what i did, oh and at the train part, leave the car and GO UNDER THE TRAINS.
