Vassal is a java program that allows modules that are similar to tabletop games (Warhammer 40k, Fantasy, Axis and Allies etc...) Copypasta The VASSAL Engine is a game engine for building and playing online adaptations of board games, tabletop games and card games. It allows users to play in real time over a live internet connection (in addition to playing by email (PbeM)). It runs on all platforms, and is free for personal use. For example, there is a Star Wars Miniatures module, where players can play with up to three others in a digital replica of the table-top game. It is written in Java and is available from SourceForge under the LGPL open source license. Here are a few examples of some modules that can be played (there are lots more) Tabletops: V40k a Warhammer 40k Module Perhaps the most played module now.[2] --in September, 2008 Games Workshop issued a cease-and-desist order to Tim Davis, the maker of V40k [3] Battlefleet Gothic Mordheim Star Wars Tactics Warmachine / Hordes Boardgames: Diplomacy (game) HeroQuest Space Hulk Shadows over Camelot Illuminati (boardgame) Memoir 44 Card Games: Playing Cards Bridge/Hearts Some screenshots of various modules. No Subbuteo? Awwww.
Looks very interesting. Is there anywhere to download V40k which isn't TPB? I have quite a trigger happy ISP...
Unfortunately, GW told the devs of V40K to shut down, but the community is distributing a saved copy. The TPB link is the last living copy of V40K on the internet. People still have it of course. [editline]07:16PM[/editline] Seriously. only 3 replies?
Give more module links
I would end up being embarrassed playing somebody in Axis vs. Allies online. :/
Give more module links
Unless you have a codex/rulebook for every module, I doubt you want them. This does not automate anything except dice rolls.

I now have V40k.
Looks very interesting. Is there anywhere to download V40k which isn't TPB? I have quite a trigger happy ISP...
TPB isn't illegal.
True, but some ISPs apparently treat anything you download off of TPB as illegal and get you into shit.
I need to learn240k so I can play it on vassal.
I need to learn240k so I can play it on vassal.
Get a new ISP. [editline]03:02AM[/editline]
True, but some ISPs apparently treat anything you download off of TPB as illegal and get you into shit.
Meant to quote this.
Get a new ISP. [editline]03:02AM[/editline] Meant to quote this.
It's not my ISP that does that. Anyway, going on the assumption that he is a teen(like most people on Facepunch), he can't just change his ISP because that's up to his parents. I doubt his parents would switch ISPs just so he could use TPB, even if they actually did understand what he was talking about.
If you think your ISP will freak out, you could just use a torrent client that has protocol encryption.
NOOOO THE TORRENT WONT LOAD!!! Can someone make a mediafire or rapid share or something? Unless it's version 3.5.5, which is available here: http://www.mediafire.com/?df4ygbgbxvx Edit: Nevermind if you guys need a mediafire of v5 here it is http://www.mediafire.com/?uxtxjz5hjym
Does this version of V40K use 4th or 5th edition rules?

[editline]12:30PM[/editline] Ok everyone is playing modules that you don't know where to download ...
