Thought this was the most logical place to put something of this nature in What do the fallout 3 DLC packs actually do? Do they add content or do they kick off from where fallout 3 ended ([sp]Turning the Purifier on[/sp]) Google isnt helping as usual (User was banned for this post ("using google before asking can help" - Spork-Juct))
Both.
Thanks for the reply I'm allways skeptical about things :v:
Broken Steel picks off where the end of the main story line ended, the other DLC's add new areas to explore, most notably Point Lookout, it adds a decent sized area to explore.

Yes they add content, and yes it continues after the Main Story.
I purchased broken steel before I had beaten the game and was wondering what happend if you bought it afterwards. Would you have to start a new game?
yes
yes
No. Just go to the purifier mission again. When you beat it without the DLC you die and it goes back to before it happened. So you just load that up
But you have to make sure the game says, "DLC content installed".
A simple google search would have told you in depth what each dlc adds so you clearly didn't google it.
