• The first batch of $60 Wii games are almost here

I couldn't help but noticing that both Rock Band Beatles and Guitar Hero 5 for Wii are both going to be $60 for the Wii, in the software only form (while Guitar Hero 5 will be $40 on PS2) I was planning on purchasing both of these, but now seeing the extra money slapped on there I'm having second thoughts. Does anyone have any insight on this? Is it just because music games are getting more popular? I know they are both $60 because they are competing against each other, but I don't know why one or the other would have originally been that much.
Popularity. And I suggest not buying Beatles if you like the music, these games often makes me hate the songs in them because of how often they're played.
I was mostly going to get the Beatles because my dad likes to sing, and they're songs he would know. And Guitar Hero 5 sounds pretty easy which is very saddening to me, because I mostly like playing the hard songs.
Meh, I don't really give two shits about Rock Band, so it's not really going to matter to me.
As the quality of those "music" based games goes down, the prices go up. It makes perfect sense. I stopped caring about these games after the second guitar hero; I don't know why you people keep buying into this crap.
-snip-
I dont think people should buy Rockband/Guitar Hero on the wii or ps2
I dont think people should buy Rockband/Guitar Hero on the wii or ps2
And why is that, keeps me wondering, as I bought Rock Band for Wii?
just you wait, rockband 6, 2 songs, 500 $ software only guitar hero 9, 2 and 1/2 songs, 500 $ software only
I really hope music games die. Guitar Hero's songs get worse and worse, with the exeption of Metallica.
I thought Wii games were already $60? I wouldn't know, I don't own a Wii.
Wii games are already $60 in Canada.
Waitwaitwait, they're pricing Wii games the same as 360 games? On a platform that is underpowered? I could understand retards buying games for $60 for their 360s, but for the Wii?!?
Wii games are already $60 in Canada.
Canadian dollars, isn't that different
Canadian dollars, isn't that different
They're worth more than the American dollar now, aren't they?
They're worth more than the American dollar now, aren't they?
No.
Get a GuitarFreaks arcade machine and be old school. Guitar Hero is a rip-off from GuitarFreaks anyway.
Get a GuitarFreaks arcade machine and be old school. Guitar Hero is a rip-off from GuitarFreaks anyway.
Rock Revolution is much better
I like Beatmania, can we all now stop slapping each other with our dicks. And wait until they hit sales. Or you could complain loudly to the company. Very loudly, threaten them to drop the price by 20% or they'll lose one sale.
Good thing I didn't plan on getting either of them. I'm just going to continue with Rock Band 2 and shittons of DLC, thanks.
Overpriced gimicky rubbish is now even more overpriced. And nothing of value was lost.
The only good rythm game based off of a band (GH Aerosmith, Rock Band Beatles, ETC.) Was Guitar Hero: Metallica. Other than that, all the other ones ruined what I thought were awesome songs. So don't bother paying $60 for a game that will ruin what love you had for the band, as well as it being a WII game.
I must be the only one on earth who can't play rhythm games well at all and thinks they are boring and repetitive :ohdear:
Wii games are already $60 in Canada.
Wii and all console games have been 100$ in Estonia ALL the time.
And in Finland, I bet they are 60€ right now, so it's a lot expensive here.
because, it does not seem like it, but the wii is a top seller console. Game makers raise prices, makes more money off games for the wii.
I think Beatles Rockband is probably going to be one of those games that's more fun to watch than it is to play
because, it does not seem like it, but the wii is a top seller console. More consoles = Lower costs on games because they're making more money and don't need the extra $ off of the games to support the console anymore.
