• Text-based RPG's?

What are some decent text-based RPG's out there? I've tried this one called "Zork" but it's confusing...
Text as in MUD or text as in games like Legend of Zork or whatever it's called.
Like DOS based, I mean.

Do you mean text based or ASCII? DF is ASCII, not text based.
Like command prompt based... Like "You arrive at xyz, and you meet joe blow" or something. And you select from different options, and continue that way.

I like Hellmoo. You could try Adventure, that's abandonware, so you should be able to find it pretty much anywhere,
