Problems with my mod

Hi. I'm starting a Half-Life 2 mod, and I have 2 problems:

1. My weapon will not show up (I've followed almost all of the tutorials out there) I've added a weapon_<gun>.txt and I've edited the C++ code with VC++ 2008 express. I've put the name in my hl2_english.txt file, and in c_weapon_stubs_hl2.cpp.

and 2. If I kill myself with a rocket launcher, I go up, and as soon as I start to fall, my mod crashes. what can I do?

oh yeah, and my mod didn't come with any txt, cfg or res files (or anything but the source code, not even gameinfo.txt)
