CoD: WaW discount on steam(Another "Should I get it" thread - Games

So they've done a 50% discount(Still bullshit people in the EU can't pay in dollars), I had it once, but traded it out with CoD4, but I kinda miss the ww2 weapons.

I wouldn't get it. Save your money for MW2, or some of the other FPS games coming out.

Save it. Get MW2 instead.

I'm saving up for episode 3. Then MW2

It's basically everything bad about CoD4 made worse (not saying CoD4 is a bad game).

i can't believe you guys think that WaW is a bastardized CoD4. most of you say it's a CoD4 remake, so how can it be any worse? and if you had any amount of skill you could: a) kill the SMG whores b) kill dogs c) kill/avoid tanks It's not rocket science. Besides, WaW is very atmospheric. And it has Nazi Zombies. Which has a really cool story.

It's bullshit if you suck at the game. Grab a bazooka. Two hits = no tank. 2. CoD has never been a realistic shooter and never will. If you want a realistic WW2 shooter, play RO. And I rarely see people use SMGs anyway. 3. It doesn't take an hour to stab a dog. Also hey, you can shoot them, duh. If you can't shoot or stab a dog you shouldn't be playing an FPS period.

I hated CoD WaW, the singleplayer ruined the whole game for me and the Nazi zombies got boring fast.

I know! And while we're on the note about the cons of each game, we all know WaW has: 1. Bullet spam. 2. Tank whores. 3. Dogs. 4. Glitchers. Modern Warfare is cursed with: 1. Extremely awful wallspam and spawn kills. 2. Playerbase that consists of mostly douche 16 year old xbox whores. 3. The worst maps for MG campers. 4. Useless helicopters. I liked Modern Warfare because of the singleplayer, it made me actually want to play the game more. But honestly you cannot put CoD 4's playerbase as a con, you can say that about any games playerbase, including CoD WaW's. And helicopters were not useless.

Well since barely anyone apparently likes WaW, what would be a GOOD WW2 game.

I'd go for it. It's not too expensive and I really enjoy the game. The multiplayer is fun except there's a lot of fast rank servers. The Single Player stories enjoyable and you can play co-op through it with other people online. There is also the zombie mode (provided you're not in Germany) which is really fun. Plus the map packs are free on the PC, whereas you would have to pay for them if you were on a console. And there are tons of people who have it, due to the number and servers on multiplayer.

If you have money to spare for MW2 then go for it, I love the multiplayer.

Am I the only one that likes modern warfare AND world at war?

I like CoD:WaW. But only the singleplayer bit.
