Can Someone Explain "Penumbra: Requiem" For Me Please?

Can someone explain [i]Penumbra: Requiem[/i] for me?

I got confused on the last part, I decided to take the door. I arrived back on the boat. Is this a dream? I saw the other choice on youtube...you die. (But your guilt is gone.)

Someone please explain this game? (Maybe even the whole series :v:)

I finished all these games, I LOVED the plot. It's just that some parts confused me.

I hated Requiem, I just played it for the rest of the story.

In my opinion the story in it wasn't going anywhere interesting so I quit pretty early into it.

I still haven't played Requiem. I absolutely loved Overture and Black Plague, but I haven't played Requiem yet due to fear that it might ruin Penumbra for me. Should I play it or not?

Basically you just move from level to level through a portal opened by collecting these two ball things in each level. It has some good puzzles and if you want to know how the series ends then play it.

I personally didn't like Requiem. But Overture and Black Plague were boss. Requiem wasn't scary at all, it was 100% puzzle which kinda ruined the atmosphere IMO.
