This has been happening for over a month.
Downloads will stop and start themselves randomly, I'll get weird drops in connection even though I know that my connection is absolutely fine, and the progress bar is hopelessly wonked out.
I can't just start a download and let it be, I have to constantly monitor it to make sure it didn't shut off or "accidentally" lose connection.
I'm not in any Steam betas or have any custom UI's.
Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

This happened to me a lot, then it suddenly stopped.
That's Steam for ya.
