This mod is nothing like svencoop 3.Let me explain you why i think that: Whats wrong with these new weapons?I want to play half-life 1 coop,not some fancy cs wonna be shit. The shotgun's secondary fire?Seriously?Rapid fire??? Overpowered weapons are a problem too. No WON!!!I know that half-life 1 is not expensive but not all my friends at my lan parties have credit cards.We used to play all night svencoop 3 but now we can't even play. Now this mod is not totally bad.It has some really cool stuff but they overdid it in my opinion. Thank for reading and excuse grammar,it's 3 am.
I agree completely about the new weapons. They tried too hard
I like everything they did to it with the exception of the shotgun since some maps are now next to unbeatable because they had shotgun marines in them. Other than that, everything has gotten better.
Kinda miss the low poly models and I didn't like some of the weapon changes. Didn't they reduce the number of grenades you can fire from your gun from 9 to like 3? I miss launching them at my feet and feeling like I'm not wasting them.
Yeah it was supposed to be half-life coop and not high polly model counter-strike coop. For example me and other 3 players entered a room that had 1 turret on the celling and 4 marines and in like 5 seconds..... all the NPC's were killed.
Wanna know something great? You don't have to play Svencoop 4.

You can still buy the game in shops, if you can't find Half-life then get Blue-Shift or OF, the keys unlock all the gold source games now. Also it's a LAN party, just get SC3 and tell your friends to do the same.
in this day and age i didnt think anyone wanted to copy counter-strike's weapon handling. svencoop 4.0 proved me wrong

Hl2 was originally going to have an Ak-47 too (The AR1) but it got cut for some reason. But they WOULD fit seeing as there's this thing called the Resistance. They'd probably have access to weapons used before and during the seven hour war. It's not like once the Combine slapped themselves on Earth, all existing human weapons would vanish. They even based the smg1 on the MP7, a real-world weapon. Not to mention the USP Match (Which IRL is a shit weapon anyway), the Colt Python and the SPAS 12. In fact, I'd even prefer existing weapons be added to HL2 while the Combine have pulse weaponry as standard issue. They already have a rifle, why not a Pulse-pistol and SMG? As for Anti-vehicle, they could have the Strider's crazy what-the-fuck-beam, but a smaller version. Then the Rebels can use old human-manufactured equipment and captured Combine weaponry.
I really think they should either remove the blowback on enemys when using the secondary shotgun mode or add a blowback to the player aswell (and WAY less accuracy).

meh, i like it. i don't see how it's like CS. you don't buy weapons, you can respawn, and it does not have CT or T's vs each other.
