[/B][I]The Specialists[/I] is a Half-Life mod intended to resemble a generic action movie, taking inspiration from movies such as Face/off and The Matrix

[/B] It contains over 29 weapons, many power-ups, and 5 official game-types, along with many maps. I can guarantee that this mod will stay fun for a long time.

[/B]This mod has many more weapons than counter strike (think [B]katanas, golden colts, and sawed off shotguns[/B]) and along with power ups such as bullet time, it includes an intuitive and revolutionary stunt system that allows you to leap through windows, backflip off buildings, and climb sheer cliffs. Almost all weapons also include some degree of customization.

I'm sorry. Did you say bullet-time? On a multiplayer game? You're asking for idiots to come on and spam this "bullettime" around until everyone just gets off.
Bullettime is a pick up item thing and killstreak type thing you can't spam it, also TS has been somewhat dying out.
I regret getting Half Life: Source now. :(
Hah, used to play this all the time on LAN. That beach mansion map was my favourite, right up to par with the greenhouse.
I used to play this with my friends mostly on Mecklenberg.

The fun part is the figuring out weither it will be a surf/ roleplay.
So far I figure if it is single player, it is roleplay.
Surf is almost always multiplayer.

Specialists is MP, but it turned into RP.
I still don't understand why people thought it was be a good idea to turn a fast-paced action game into a fucking roleplaying game. In a game where you run around like a maniac and kill shit with bullet time, you seriously want to play as an inner-city drug dealer?
Played TS for 3-4 years then it began to die. I'm gonna miss those days.
Holy shit, I was playing this last night because I couldn't run any complex games. It's awesome.

Nostalgic for me.I used to play with bots back in the day and LAN with my friends too.
It was fun until i realized Kung-fu>Guns, The constant rush+Back-kick was just plain boring to me.
I used to play it when i was younger, but i sucked at it.
I think using the Contender was n00b, but it was a nice weapon.
Awesome mod.
There's only, like, one active server left that isn't RP, though. Which sucks. Still, one active server is better than none at all.

I hate people who say TS was ruined by roleplaying. If you don't want to roleplay, then don't go to a roleplay server. How do you do that? The map names and server names both pretty much scream "RP" on them.
It isn't the roleplayers' fault that there's maybe two or three decent norm. TS servers left; all of the old players moved on to bigger and better things, like jobs.
Loved this mod. Roleplaying broke it.
The zombie mods were pretty badass though. They really pumped the AI to do some crazy shit.

Roleplaying servers are stupid. I was banned on every single one, because apparently it's against the law for your job to consist of you disarming the admins and killing everyone. Also, RPers can't use a gun for their lives.
RPing in TS is a lot more fun than in gmod nowadays, if you can get into a well moderated server
