• To Quest or not to Quest - Thats the question

I have recently noticed that questing is kinda useless atm - questing till 15 was ok to unlock dungeon finder, but after that i used dungeon finder always and as a healer i always had a group im now a lvl37 priest - and i thought to share this with u guys :) so yah try it ^^
Ever since I dinged 15 I've been using the dungeon finder to lvl. I'm now 42.
The very first time i played WoW i quested and quested until i was sick to my gut with questing then i just got bored, and quit then i came back to it after a friend told me about doing what you did it's the only way to play now
I find it quicker to quest.
its a good way imo u get items and that reward thing and u have a lot cash :)
As a solo player, questing and dungeons go at about the same speed, so which one you do is largely preference. A lot of people think quests are boring but I can't stand doing the same dungeon more than 3 times a day. However, if you have a buddy to tank or heal, and you do the opposite, you can just sit in an inn and get levels all day. A good tank/healer combo will get through dungeons faster, have more fun, and therefore level faster than either solo questing or solo queuing. Also you make more money questing, by a lot.
On my tank I dungeoned from 17-75 as warrior and I skipped 20-80 with my warlock with a few bits of questing in outlands/northrend when I arrived and icecrown because it was more interesting, which was great fun and meant I always had good blue gear as I leveled, but if I am in need of a new piece of gear, or weapon and want it quickly I would quest, just like in outlands and northrend.
Quest until 60 and then dungeon your way to 80 (quest in between the dungeons but do dungeons as often as possible).
Questing is more interesting
questing is better xp, but for some reason people would rather sit around waiting for dungeon queues
im up for doing a couple dungeons a day, but after that I go right back to questing, i find it faster anyway, plus I make more money from it.
I only dungeon grind when the quest zones for my level are unbearably boring/tedious. Or vice versa. I can not stand doing BRD for 8 levels.
I like questing, it helps to read the quests it takes your mind off the grind aswell... but recently choosing a resto druid healing in dungeons is awesome too
You can get some pretty awesome gear by questing. I suggest questing The grinding sucks, true, but it's worth it when you get some awesome gear. Plus with some of the "kill X number of Y" quests, you can sometimes get halfway or more through a level's XP just by killing. It's also wise to gain XP through dungeons. You can get a lot of XP when your character is rested. I fucking love rested XP in dungeons. It's most effective when you have AoE attacks so you can kill a bunch of mobs at once.
I quest while i'm waiting for a pug, but i mainly play my 80 Lock and only have a few LvL 30 alts so i don't really need to quest.
Dungeon find up to level 80, get heirloom items, give it to a new character, quest with said character. I hated questing because my gear was fucking outdated. Always.
Obviously the people saying "use it" havenever been in a level 15 random dungeon. Let's put it this way: I would rather inhale mustard gas through my fucking urethra than pug SFK with a team comprised entirely of me and 4 retarded 5-year-old ninjas.
Like the higher level pugs are any better.
The fact that you are saying this is proof that you have never had to experience a level 15 random dungeon group. I envy your innocence.
Dungeons are easier at level 15, I have done many You don't need a tank, anyone that isn't cloth can tank and anyone with the relevant spells can heal It is too early for talent diversity so they are balanced for someone with no talents and the wrong gear The only annoying part is that people also haven't learned loot ettiquette yet and classes like mages regularly roll on +strength gear Anyone who finds level 15 instances hard has no chance at higher levels
Do a mix of randoms and quests.
As a healer or tank the dungeonfinder is usually really fast leveling, with a good group and heirlooms youll fly through the levels. As a dps class youre best queuing up, and questing while you wait for a group. its nice and efficient
I used BG's to get from 20-25. Then dungeons to get from 25-49. Right now, I'm queued up for a Random Dungeon.
Depending on brackets, I enjoy PvP for leveling. So heres my intake on the brackets I like to do when leveling. 1-15: Questing (Derp) 15-19: Dungeon 20-29: Questing/Dungeon 30-39: Dungeon 40-49: Questing/Dungeon 50-59: PvP 60-69: PvP/Questing 70-79: PvP/Questing/Dungeons Most Important <-------> Least Important
If you're a Priest, I recommend just using the DF. I've never rolled a Priest, but from what I hear questing is hard to do as one.

Well I nearly got The Loremaster on my friend's account. He pays a month, I pay the next, and so on.
When you get to 50, Alterac Valley can be decent exp, and on weekend its superfast leveling
Me and my friend have the dungeon finder up most of the time while we quest. When a dungeon is found, we just go in and complete the dungeon. After that we just go back to questing. Then we repeat.
