I think it looks pretty goddamn awesome. I think it'll be the best game ever made, it looks like Bungie is putting alot of effort into it to.

Well for Halo Fans anyway.
its not youtube
while on the subject of halo in general, before the :bandwagon: why does there seem to be so much hate for it? i love playing online from time to time with a few mates round and enjoyed the singleplayer immensely especially with 4 player co-op local i'm hoping for more of the same but enhanced with these nice new features i've seen in videos
its not youtube
wow i was gonna fix that but i guess people post litterally 3 seconds after I post something :/
I bet you won't be able to do half of the stuff shown in the trailer
That's how trailers ussualy work.
I must say that the new models look impressive. I'm looking forward to it.
Looks like what Halo 2 should have been, seems pretty nice.

Actually I'm pretty sure you can.

Well Bungie confirmed everything in the video anyway, active rosters, Loadouts and knifes in the back.
Looks like Bungie is finally getting back to the quality of the first Halo.
I agree.
"Best game ever" is a huge overstatement. Yes, it will be a pretty good game but there are much better.
Another thread? Urgh.
I can't stand Halo.
Perhaps it's just it's fanbase, but the story is simplistic and the gameplay far from revolutionary.

Yeah the whiny 12 year olds get annoying pretty fast.

Its not that simplistic, I havent seen many FPS with a story like it.
I mean look at COD its just an action movie made into a game.
Bad company 1 was good but 2 was action movie again.
If you knew the whole story then it would make more sense.

And I'm pretty sure you're an uninformed moron.
That is either blind, or incredibly stupid.
While that's true of most cinematic trailers, this one appears to be in engine. Meaning, yes you will be able to do most of the stuff in the trailer.
In fact, half the shit you see in the trailer isn't really showing everything new, so of course it will translate into the beta at the very least.
Good god you're dumb.

I like how you already place this game lower than others, considering you haven't played it yet.
I understand where you're going, but the only way to really place a game is when you get your hands on it.

Maybe there aren't that many FPS games with as detailed and involving storylines but there are plenty of games that do.
One of the most irritating things about the Halo series is, for me at least, how, after its release, people started calling the dual analogue-stick control scheme "halo controls". That shit was in Timesplitters a whole year before Halo and it was pioneered in Goldeneye 64, by the same design team, way before that.

Sure we shouldn't be making detailed opinions on the game before release, but chances are if you didn't like any previous Halo games then this one isn't going to be the one that you fall in love one. Despite all of the little additions it's not going to be much different from the previous instalments.
You people need to stop jumping on the god damn bandwagon.

Wait wait wait, the SERIES irritates you because of some completely unrelated term some fans called it by discount their use in earlier games.
Isn't that a bit ass backwards?

From the sound of it, it doesn't seem like you looked into this game too closely.
There are a number of changes and adjustments that are quite different from the previous series.
Is anything, its probably going to be more like the first game- the one people enjoyed the most, rather than borrowing elements form the second or third games.
For example; dual wielding is out, and armor permutations actually have an effect in game, not to mention some weird class system I've heard about.

By that logic MW2 is good.

It's not, btw.

Maybe those examples sound like great changes to the formula for a fan of the series, but for an outsider they seem very negligible.
I enjoyed the first Halo, but hated the other three. Bungie looks as though they are making Reach into more than just a new map pack, so I'm hoping it's going to turn out great.
I am hoping for the best with Halo Reach. Halo 3 lacked what Halo CE and 2 both had.

and what did the aforementioned 2 have that halo 3 didn't?
I don't like Halo... :colbert:
and what did the aforementioned 2 have that halo 3 didn't?
Halo 2 just had a better feel, it was unadulterated fun. To a competitive player the BXR and BXB glitch's made the game more fast and challenging.
Without going into detail, it just seemed that Halo 2 was built to be fun. As a side effect of this the game also had a strong competitive feel. When Halo 3 was in development Bungie looked at MLG for assistance, their input (as a competitive outlet) made the game too slow and controlled, taking away the fun.
I could honestly write pages on why Halo 2 was better then Halo 3, but to someone who might not be a fan of the series and the multiplayer experience it would not make a difference. (Not sure how big of a fan you are/ are not)

I see where you're coming from and I totally agree halo 3 made things far too competitive
I see where you're coming from and I totally agree halo 3 made things far too competitive
The sad thing is, I find myself to be a competitive gamer. The thing is that I want to enjoy myself as I play.
I remember playing Halo 2 till 4-5am some nights and enjoying every second.
I also remember playing Halo 3 and getting off before midnight to go play CSS or battlefield.
Wait wait wait, the SERIES irritates you because of blablabla
Stop being an arrogant asshole. Please. You are replying to all hate in the thread. I love halo but I respect other peoples opinions. I am not a big fan of Call of Duty but am I saying it is bad? No.
Person : Halo is gay
Stickmna : How bout you go play your shitty cod noob.
Please....
Watching the gameplay, I feel Halo: Reach will be great. Halo 2 and 3 were pretty average to me, but everything about the new one seems awesome.
It's gonna be good, then a week later ya gonna log in. And ya gonna have Halo 3 with new graphics for multiplayer. Reason? Community baaws about everything that isn't a vehicle or a weapon.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
