I would have to say Halo 3 and Fallout 3. In fallout 3 you can do whatever you want and kill whoever. And Halo has been fun since the first Halo.

Rather depends on what you want to play, doesn't it? I think a better one would be "if you could only own one game". And for that I'd probably have Garry's Mod, because if you're handy enough with Lua you can make pretty much anything you like. So it's like every game at once.

However i am disappointed how the poll seems to be 90% games that are FPS or in third person.
No strategy, city building, puzzle, sandbox or that, all compressed into a single option. Other/etc.

Fallout Series, though I think Fallout 3 is the weakest of the series (if you don't count Brotherhood of Steel).
Out of the list, not including the others, would be fallout. Cant wait for new vegas and finally continuing the story of the west.
