Since Black Ops has come out recently, I thought I'd hop on it and make a thread about Call of Duty. I would like you guys to vote for your favorite Call of Duty. Besides that, discuss why it's your favorite? Is it all that satisfying blowing someone up with an RC Car? Or watching your score stack-up with that Harrier Strike? Or obtaining a head-shot with your M40A3? Tell us. :3:
Personally, I thought Call of Duty 4 was the best, as it was the first modern Call of Duty. Everything about it hit the spot for me, spare the fact that shotguns felt a bit underpowered for a primary weapon. Otherwise it was a great game.
I'd also like to say that if you're here to bash Call of Duty, just don't. :D

The singleplayer games used to be so much longer than they are now and the multiplayer had so much more love poured into them.
Now it's a dull kill streak grenade spam fest.
Haven't played Blops and WaW had my favorite multiplayer.

Pretty much this plus 2 and 4. WaW was okay, but it felt exactly like 4 in terms of gameplay.

1 & 4 for me. Both were amazing, great to play, and not the bullshit they crap out today.
You're also missing United Offensive and Big Red One.
Call of Duty 4 was definitely the best.
For older ones, I LOVED Call of Duty Big Red One and I did love Call of Duty 2 when I got my Xbox 360.

CoD 1 and 2 are my least favorite, actually. But that's because I never played them when I was younger, only recently. So no nostalgia for me.

I liked Modern Warfare 1, 2 and Black Ops.
The first Modern Warfare was good, but I didn't like the maps that much. Modern Warfare 2 had better maps and funner (not better) to use weapons, but the SP was terrible in comparison to MW1.
Black Ops offers so much more, and the weapons are muuuuch better. I don't like the maps that much but... I just feel like it's better.

Because MW2 really isn't a bad game. With AlterIWnet it'd probably be one of the better CoD games. And as I said before, I never played them when I was younger, so this is looking at them after playing CoD4/WaW/MW2.
CoD1 is ridiculously hard, especially the part on the back of the truck and when you use the AA gun to shoot down the planes (Because the AI doesn't help you at all). People complain about having to take on entire armies in MW2, but in CoD1 you rarely ever even have AI teammates.
CoD2 is... okay. The later levels get CoD1 style hard, I never even beat it because I got bored of doing the exact same thing. It is the best looking CoD game though.
Black Ops [I]might[/I] be the best CoD game if they ever fix stuttering, slideshows aren't fun.
MW > COD2 > Black Ops > COD1/3/MW2 (evenly matched).

The Attack Dogs for example, although cool at first, just didn't cut it for me. I honestly liked the gunfire overhead from my helicopter as opposed to the barking in the distance. Seriously. Just knife them. With a helicopter you have to get out that RPG and hope you don't miss.

Uh? You almost ALWAYS had AI team mates in the WW2 Call of Duty games.
Whether they were actually any help usually varies, I felt they distracted the enemies enough for me to successfully flank them.
I like CoD4 the most then Black Ops.
