Yes, the game EVERYONE has heard of. I've been playing since the original Sims, and this is still fun to play every now and then. I eventually stopped playing, then one of my friends started playing it again. Sure enough, that was all it took for me to jump back on. Its a nice long game, and it has high re-playability too. So Facepunch, what are your experiences with The Sims like? 3 noticeable events that occurred recently: 1. My friend's sim had a ghost haunting his house and it turns out, the ghost made his sim waffles every good damn morning. Apparently, he wake up to a table with a plate all ready. 2. Me and my freind we're having a contest to see who could make a more successful sim. My friend's sim was about to "woohoo" (Weird Sim term for sex) when the wall was in the way. He tried to expand the room, but didn't have enough money. I preceded to laugh my ass off at him. 3. MY sim tried to "woohoo" but the stupid chic went up, got a cup of coffee, and managed to drink it literally ALL NIGHT LONG, ruining my window of oppurtunity. (I ended up selling the machine to prevent such an incedent again). When she left, she passed out on the front lawn. :v:
The fact that the game, and all the shit you're pretty much going to buy is about 24 gigs is ridiculous.
The Sims 3 is the best example of EA's absolute CRAP support for their games. Despite being their best selling PC game, it's absolutely RIDDLED with bugs. RIDDLED! -Sims will drag their arses outta bed every time a ghost comes into their room just to go 'Ugh!' and then derp off to read a book on 1 hour of sleep. -Have World Adventures? Good luck trying to excavate a site that's not on perfectly flat land. Its been broken apparently for 3 patches and the only way to fix it is with a Mod. -Here's a good one. Play an instrument? Wanna get the Skill challenge for playing at 10 venues/parties? Sorry, thats been broken since day 1 release. You have to do opportunities to get this, which means if you have any other skill besides the instruments, you're hosed. -Every generated Sim the game creates; mailmen, police officers, etc. Will have the same voice (Male 1, Female 1) the same face presets with hair and skin tone being the only difference. -The new community lots from the expansions, retrofitted for the old towns (Like the default) aren't even facing the correct way! (The Salon in Sunnyvale, or whatever that place is called, is the poster child for this lazy hack job.) -The latest expansion, Late Night, breaks a TON of opportunities. Why? Because the buildings with multiple functions (I.E. Bookstore and Spa.) don't count towards these, so basically, you will be sent to places that don't exist (Example: JUST a bookstore.) unless you place them down yourself. I could go on forever, but needless to say EA is milking this cash cow for all it's worth and putting it in environments you see in those PETA scare documentaries. Don't give 'em money.
sims 1 best sims will wright left EA too i think so I don't think he'll be making more sims
I'm glad he left EA.
The Sims 1 was all about fun. From then on they started to move towards realism in favor of fun.
On Sims 2, my friend came over to my house once and recreated his family. When he left I moved them to a tiny, squalid house and stole their baby. I hope to get Sims 3 for christmas, how much could I get it for cheaply?
Could you add some things to the OP about the game itself? Information, pictures, links, etc. We haven't had a proper Sims 3 thread since the sub-forum was closed.
Why are all Sims 3 machinima almost all full of drama. Some are pretty good, though.
Why are all Sims 3 machinima almost all full of drama. Some are pretty good, though.
Real life = Drama.
What I don't like is that it is almost no fun without cheats. I can piss in real life, I don't want to do it every 2 minutes in a video game.
