• PC Games that don't require much concentration?
    74 replies, posted
So, basically im looking for a game that I can just listen to some music and chill out while playing. All the games I have been playing lately have been quite fast paced and require quite a bit of concentration to actually play well and have fun. Does anyone know of any such game? Thanks. Oh and listening to music while playing is a big thing on this, so I dont want listening to the game to be a large factor.
Audiosurf on low difficulties
You want to play a game but not to concentrate? You'll just lose. Just listen to music for entertainment.
Guild wars is the only one I can think of.
Ahh yes, Audiosurf, although I did play it to hell last week. No Shugo, I want a game that doesnt need lots of concentration.
Most adventure games can be played at your own pace. They require thinking, but you don't have to be 100% focused on it.
Pick a high graphics game with pretty wildlife and turn on God mode. Turn on some Beethoven.
You can't listen to music and concentrate on a game at the same time? :crossarms:
Thanks peeps, Ruffianos has worded it perfectly for me. Guild Wars seems like a good one to do. I can, its just that alot of games require you to listen to your surroundings, and other games its just better to listen to the actual game sound.
I build shit in Gmod while i listen to music all the time.
Most MMO's
I think I might go with an MMO, I just need to find one that I can actually stick with, will need to have something unique.. :L
Pokemon Platinum on No$GBA 2.6a with one of the screen zoomer plugins. You don't really need to hear pokeyman to enjoy the shit out of it.

Far Cry 2. It's like a screensaver, except you can get shot at. Just relax while playing and you'll have fun. You're rarely provoked unless you charge into an enemy camp, and you can take all the time you want to soak in the atmosphere.
Nah, I dont want to play Pokeymans.

Even Jimmy the Businessman driving down the road will hop out of his sedan, pull an AK out of his ass and shoot me up.

If you're hiking around or exploring, nobody's going to sneak up on you (save the occasional bison or zebra).
Nah, I dont want to play Pokeymans.
I don't see why not. It's a wonderful JRPG. If you ignore the exploitation and the kid-friendly aesthetic, there's a very good JRPG waiting to be enjoyed.
I really hope you're talking about using a legit version of the game.
It's possible to make your own NDS backups of games you own, for use on emulators, but it's common knowledge that no-one actually does this. If you'd rather have it that way, then yes; OP should dump his own Platinum NDS ROM.
I usually play Plants Vs. Zombies while watching TV. Basically any PopCap game.
Music Catch 1 or 2. http://www.kongregate.com/games/Reflexive/music-catch-2 Very fun relaxing flash game
hell, I can play any game with a TV on in the background. then again, I usually don't really concentrate on the TV...
Im not saying Pokeymans is bad, i just generally dont want to play it. :)
Cogs :v:

Research and Development, Portal, and Garrysmod are 3 games that you can play at your own pace. I don't get why this is 'dumb'. Elaborate.
GTA 4 single player: just bomb around doing your own thing at your own pace diver: a flash browser game that is crazy addictive, which requires nothing but a mouse, no keys http://www.farseergames.com/games/diver/diver.aspx
I suggest in mmo's get Eve-online, it's like a fun job and after some reading guides you should be able to glide thru the early levels. Then become a trader and just travel from here to there controlling the market, loads of pretty views and free time during long jumps. Costs abit.
