• My list of reasons why EP3 is taking so long

Here we go New engine - probably not, because it's not a whole new game, just a part. Some improvements on engine - Like they did in L4D Left 4 Dead 2 - Probably not, they have each teams for games, like TF2 team. Long game? - Maybe theyre making the game really long. I don't think so. Gabe fat jokes - Gabe delays EP3 a week when he sees a fat joke of him. Not this. They are making the game so epic that it takes so long. It's ready - They are just torching the community and watching them how they react it's taking so long. Not. They are still working on concept - Probably not, because the story line is pretty clear I think. Just a little different from the Half-Life 2 beta Other game? - Maybe not. They're lazy - I don't think so It's just slow - Maybe They want to make the game detailed and perfect - Well they do that on every game I suppose. Share yours too.
Portal 2... The same team works on both games...
Eh, Gabe is probably just sitting down with a bag of potato chips playing EP3. Oh Dear, I just delayed it for a week.

It sounds like you are arguing with yourself. And thats just silly. My bet; maybe they are incorporating the 'live-action' (forgot the name) animations you got in l4d- leaning into corners as they run, more fluid combat, better deaths. And I bet they are still working on the story, yesterday a vid was posted where Gabe was talking about the inclusion of a Deaf character- seemed like they were still banging out that concept.
You forgot one: Because Gabe is fat.
I have lost all faith in Gabe.
You lost faith in him because he plays a game that he likes?

His mom needs to cancel his WoW account. :v:
That's Guild Wars, not WoW.
I wanna face Gabe PvP style in guild wars.
They're updating the engine bro.
That's Guild Wars, not WoW.
It's wow with interface addon. DUH!
That's Guild Wars, not WoW.
Do you see the little red button there? He's accepting a duel or ressurecting
It's taking long because it is going to be a great game. Now play other Valve games and stop speculating.
I hope it's longer than episode one and episode two combined.. Anyway, really looking forward to it. I look forward to seeing the Borealis.
Do you see the little red button there? He's accepting a duel or ressurecting
Rezzing, there's only one button, duel invited have 2 (Accept / Decline). I also think that's shopped, but my memory fails me at the moment, I seem to recall it was portal or EP:2 in the original. Gabe is like a fat rock slowing down the programmers. x1 Fat Joke.
every time you say gabe is fat he delays ep3 what a fatass

I don't get it. Valve said that they would release a game, and then they started working on it. We believe that if we get enough members in this group, the entire dev team will just stop working on it all together. Half Life 2 Episodes 1-3 should have been DLC to the original Half Life 2, since Valve couldn't release a FULL GAME. What moreons. Here's the facts: * Significant content has been made for TF2, somewhat for L4D, and for most other Valve games, yet Half Life has never gotten the same treatment. The Orange Box doesn't count at ALL. * Valve put little faith in Episode 1 since they almost certainly started working on Episode 2 right after release * The fact that Episode 3 is nearly identical to Episode 2 will decimate the community for both games * The announced date is not nearly enough time to polish content or make significant gameplay changes * The new character designs seem bland and unappealing so far * The community has lost faith in Valve's former reputation for commitment to their games post-release. You must be dense if you're planning on purchasing this game. With a price tag like $20, I think it's time to shut down Valve all together before they steal the rest of our money. It's a price that nobody can dream to afford - but what is the cost of our souls? Do we really plan to buy this game and let the entire free world as we know it fall apart? I dream of a world where every game is free, and businesses go bankrupt due to lack of profit. A world where companies like Valve cease to exist, because they release garbage like Episode 3. I mean, really, what were you thinking? http://steamcommunity.com/groups/wearetools

@HL2:EP3 Boycotters, Singleplayer =/= Multiplayer. Adding a few weapons and maps isn't the same as creating a FULLY SCENARIZED game. Look at Episode Two: how much content is entirely recycled? Uh? Anyhow it wouldn't surprise me if they went straight onto HL3 instead.

You also say that Episode 3 is identical to Episode 2, despite the fact that we haven't seen or heard much about the game. Edit: Actually now that I think about it, a date hasn't ever been released. What are you talking about? And the community might be impatient with the progress of Episode 3, but as a whole they haven't 'lost faith'.
I sent Gabe an email the other day, but he has not yet responded. In that time, our group has skyrockted from four to SEVEN MEMBERS. I think the entirety of Valve should just give up now instead of waiting for us to reach, like, what, 10+ members?
1.Gabe is too lazy too check his email 2.Wow you went up 3 members from 4, congrats!
1.Gabe is too lazy too check his email 2.Wow you went up 3 members from 4, congrats!
Haha I know, they seem to think if they get like 20 people they can overturn Valve or something.
