So I figured that general games discussion would be the best place to post this:
Some friends and I are trying to get an indie game company started and stuff, but we need a bit of help. We need suggestions for programming languages we should use in our games, we need suggestions for game plots, and we need people to start paying a bit of attention to us. So far, the only games we have made have been assignments for our high school classes, so they are all coded in Flash or Ruby (using RPG Maker VX or XP). We intend to release these games that we have made soon, for free, even though most of them are not that great since we are only just starting out. We also need suggestions for software we should use for creating the sounds and the graphics. Feedback here would be great, but it would also be great if people liked our Facebook page, joined our Steam group, or visited our website
It would really help you if you had any content or idea of what you were going to do. Because right now it seems like you won't get far.
Well at least you guys actually have a basic idea of coding. I don't suppose you happen to need an ideas guy?

we actually have several "idea guys" but we want some ideas from random people as well because who is going to buy the games, it'll be random people we don't know

we've actually got a pretty solid plan set out, but we want some input from people outside of our group who can give us some random ideas, and maybe even some fellow developers giving us advice. we will be pretty fan based, because we want people to like what we put out there, but obviously, we are going to stay true to our own ideas too, otherwise we wouldn't be doing what we love to do
