What do you guys think should there be a new Counter-Strike game from valve?

Maybe a single player like condition-zero ? what your thoughts/opinions

what if valve releases a updated "Counter-Strike" game that runs on the modified source engine that left for dead runs on ? what do you think

Well not soon, but it's probably going to happen in a while.

Many people I know still play 1.6 instead of Source because of various reasons. Do we really need another installment? In general I only like sequels if they proceed telling an interesting story and CS... well, doesn't have that at all. I also believe the market is also already "saturated" with ""realistic"" FPS games.

Valve should concentrate on something original in my opinion, but I guess they're better at turning mods into "real" games. That's why they're doing DOTA now after all.

I love Counter Strike purely for the fact that it was the first online shooter I ever played as a kid. I wouldn't mind another one, but I am happy enough with 1.6 and source.

By ""realistic"" I meant it's setting is supposed to be similar to the real world. It's not supposed to be as stylized as TF2 for example. You know, just like Call of Duty or Medal of Honor or what-do-I-know. I don't really enjoy those games.

Gabe Newell did talk about Counter-Strike 2, however he talked about it before Minh Le (creator of original Counter-Strike) left Valve, so Counter-Strike 2 will not happen most likely.

Tactical Invention is a game based on Minh Le's imagination of Counter-Strike 2 (Or alternative for Counter-Strike: Source) and was on team making Tactical Invention.
