I have not yet played Patapon 1 :( [release]What is Patapon? Patapon is a rhythm game. A really damn good one. It's made by Sony and only on the PSP. It's the only game I've ever enjoyed on this nearly gameless piece of junk. It's really freaking cheap to. Get it of of amazon for $1.25 (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001OHUTQI/ref=nosim/6553221-rg1864-00-20) I obviously highly recommend it for anyone with a PSP. Hell, you should go get the PSP bundle with this game if you don't already have one. What the hell is it about? Good question. Heres how the plot goes: You are the Great Kami (or whatever you want your name to be, 4 letters or less), great god of the patapons. They look to you for guidance with your mighty drums, following your every command. You must lead your Patapons to victory on they're journey to Earthend, where they may find IT. After easily being defeated by a sea monster, the surviving patapon wash up on a shore. You must recollect them, rebuild your army, and continue your journey to Earthend. This time you fight the Karmen, a mysterious tribe who hide they're faces behind mask, and a terrible secret behind they're whole tribe. Early on you find a Hero, who lost his memory in a fight against a Dodagona. Afterwards, he joins you and your patapon to Earthend. The rest of the story is up to you to go experience. What do you do? Lead your patapon one command a time. They will follow your command to the very end. Use your magical drums to string together songs to tell your patapon what to do. Collect materials, armors, and weapons for your Patapon army, which is fully customizable, including what type of patapon you want them to be. Most levels are replayable, and get hard and harder each time you do it, thus droppping better items. The game has well over a dozen bosses, not including the cousins, harder versions of the boss found only in certain conditions. Theres so much in this game I can't cover it in this post![/release] YOU NEED TO HAVE A INTERNET CONNECTION ON YOUR PSP TO PURCHASE AND/OR DOWNLOAD THE GAME [release]IMPORTANT LINKS: Patapon Wikia - All the information on Patapon 1/2 you need! PURCHASE ON AMAZON FOR ONLY $1.25!! Final Boss. Not really much of a spoiler, but whatever. This is level 13 version. Yeah, It's a good game. I was a fanboy for the first one and I bought the second one but never beat it.
it would not be correct for me to say i like this game for i have not played it but it looks good and i like the looks of this game
I have a vast PSP library, well over 18 games. Patapon 2 is the only on my PSP with more then 3 hours. Actually it's like 175 [editline]16th December 2010[/editline] Forgot about Patapon 3! Putting Patapon 3 stuff in OP in mourning.
I tried the Patapon demo on the PSP. Really irritating when you fall out of rhythm.
I played both from release date, and still havent beaten patapon 2. yea. I love these games and will never forget them, it is etched in my mind.
I loved the patapon 2 demo on the psp!
I tried the Patapon demo on the PSP. Really irritating when you fall out of rhythm.
This. I love the game, but I'm fucking stuck at the second level.
PATA PATA PATA PON! PATA-PATA-PATA-PATA-PON! PON PATA PATA PON! I have a theory of sorts that patapon can be used as a replacement morse code with Pata as short beep and pon as long.

awesome, a thread, will you update OP with news about the third one aswell? been ages since I played multiplayer demo so thank you for reminding me about the game again, easily 200+ hours went into P2
Lack of autosave really annoyed me as a bunch of times I had to replay levels For example I ended up doing that goddamn annoying desert level 5 times Good game though
Lack of autosave really annoyed me as a bunch of times I had to replay levels For example I ended up doing that goddamn annoying desert level 5 times Good game though
I got in the habit of instinctively pressing Select as soon as every level was done. Holy shit, I need a PSP. I want to play this game SO bad right now! Pata-Pata-Pata-Pon! Can't you play PSP games on a PS3 if you buy them over PSN?
The first patapon was one of my favourite psp games  I got it whilst on holiday in the US and was more interested in the game than seaworld. :smug:

Chaka, chaka, pata, pon!
DON-DONDON-DONDON my favorite one :3:
Hell yeah this game is awesome.
Patapon 3 is going to be awesome.
fffFEEEEEVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I love this game.
Been playing Patapon 2 but not really enough to make good Patapons but by using the tank Patapons as hero I casually do the levels near the end in like half an hour :ohdear: even though 1 miss timing will probably end up in a failure
Lack of autosave really annoyed me as a bunch of times I had to replay levels For example I ended up doing that goddamn annoying desert level 5 times Good game though
that fucking level ruined the game for me. I really enjoyed it up until then but holy shit that level was so fucking annoying it was unbelievable, and I eventually gave up out of fear that I would end up breaking my PSP in a fit of rage. other than that, good game.
how do you even pronounce this?
