Tips and Trickz:
up up up up jump = FLYING. (only after beaten game once)
Ok guys. Now solve the fucking Monolith.
Goddamnit Xbox exclusive.
Give me a PC version and i'm on.
The dev would probably make a fucking fortune with a Steam release of this.
Seems like the game that would be perfect for PC.
Game is amazing. Blasted through all of it in three days. Now waiting to solve the [sp]black monolith[/sp].

I'd list why the game is amazing but that would spoil the fun. Let me just say: If you like messed up stuff in your games and have a 360, get it. The demo makes this look like it's just a simple puzzle platformer but it's much much more than that. Also get a pen and paper ready.

The best part, is that it's written in XNA. XNA's main feature is XBOX and PC development all-in-one aka you don't have to do anything to get it running on both systems.

Except for some key detection code which can be changed in 5 minutes (or, if made in mind for the two platforms, all it needs to do is detect the platform and apply the correct detecting for gamepad or keyboard)
There is loads of stuff they'd have to rethink gameplay-wise if they made a PC version. I'm sure once the XBL bucks stop flowing they'll do one even though Phil Fish has said it's a console game end of story.
I've been following this game for a while but alas, I do not have a 360 any more. I would LOVE a PC release though.

All they'd have to do is remap controls... not that difficult.
Did you play the game
Did you play the game
Nope, I don't own a XBox. What if they pulled a super meat boy and told you that it is better to play with a controller?
This game looks promising, but i'll wait until it comes to PC. (if it does, which it should, because it looks so cool)
Notice the similarity to the artwork for this game and the artwork for Super Mario Land 2?
That's a nice little reference I only noticed now.
(Is there a way to make this a thumbnail or something)
Anyone else see similarity? (Look at the video at the top of this thread for the cover art of Fez.)
I don't think it would be too hard to port over to PC. Indeed, solving some puzzles would be more convenient if you were able to alt-tab out and create a pic on paint, or a text file.

People are trying to bruteforce the black monolith. It's pretty easy just enter the first code correctly then the last inputs of the following lines after that. You can get through a couple of pages in like 5 minutes.
WHO KNOWS MAYBE YOU WILL BE THE ONE!!!!!
Just completed the game, going back through again to get all the cubes now. That ending is just sooo mindblowing, on so many levels. And the new game + mechanic is great. The receiving of the new power reminded me a lot of a certain 'deal with it' gif.
This game is just amazing, incredible, the audio design is hypnotizing, I'm buying the OST now, the art style is nostalgic yet fresh, the worlds are awe inspiring, and some of these puzzles...
Just get this game!
No that's not it. You need to have found all the cubes and anti-cubes to even get to where this thing is.
I'm not even entirely sure what this game is about. Still I just bought it.
Well, adorable if nothing else. And VERY beautiful.

Whoa. Just did that puzzle with tetris shapes. Fucked with my mind pretty well. I have a feeling this is gonna be one weird experience.
fyi the game will be ported to pc, the problem is that there's a 6 month exclusivity with microsoft
So kinda like Braid then. Sad but I can wait :>
The game is amazing from the 10-30 minutes I saw from my BF playing it. This looks like it's going to be my "braid" of 2012. I know Braid was one of my favorite games of the year when it was released in 2008. Still a damn good game. Sadly, not one you can really replay unless you want to reflect back on it's story of symbolism, relationships, and the bomb.
Glad to hear it's got a really mind blowing ending, kinda like Braid too :v: UUghhh I wish this didn't have xbox exclusivity

If the ending is even close to how awesome Braid's was, this is going to be an awesome game. Braid was almost even too hard so I kind of just watched a let's play of it, but the ending was great.
fyi the game will be ported to pc, the problem is that there's a 6 month exclusivity with microsoft
Well it's likely it's going to be ported for Windows PCs, not Macs and such so I don't really see the problem with microsoft exclusivity.
Wait, I sort of remember something about the developer of this game saying something like "All Japanese Video Games are terrible."
Wait, I sort of remember something about the developer of this game saying something like "All Japanese Video Games are terrible."
Yeah, he did. http://www.develop-online.net/news/40061/GDC-Japanese-dev-mocked-your-games-suck
Such a stupid comment. Especially when Fez gives me this very Japanese-y feeling.
Trying to translate the cube text is a fucking pain in the ass
So many levels just make my mind go 'woah', like the double whammy of how the level loops, so you have to go down to go up, and then realizing the entire room is a big tetrimino code.
Just solved my first rumble puzzle.
This game
Wait, I sort of remember something about the developer of this game saying something like "All Japanese Video Games are terrible."
I think he actually said that the current breed of japanese video games are terrible, not the old ones, because in context, they had just been watching a film about how modern indie developers have been influenced by brilliant japanese games (Mario, Zelda etc).
It was a dumb thing to say, because there have been some great games from Japan in the last few years (Dark Souls), but also a lot of tripe (which probably wasn't ever intended for the american market anyway). But western produced games have a lot of criticism coming their way as well.
I feel like I'm finding all of these solutions, but then it throws something else at me.
Come on brain, what do.

Holy shit that dev is arrogant.
Can't say I agree with the review though. Probably because I think of Fez as a puzzle game, not a platformer. And I really like the puzzles.
