Should i buy Battlefield: Bad Company 2™ or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from Steam ?

BC2 is a bit more slow paced, though it offers vehicles and rewards time spent.
MW2 is the action shooter with much quicker paced gameplay though it is not nearly as deep

I got bored of MW2 1 week after release.
BC2, mostly because of the fact that Raspberry Jelly doesn't spill on your screen when you are mortally wounded.

Bad Company 2. It's not what I wouldn call realistic but at least you can't duel wield shotguns and there are no OP kill streaks that rape you as soon as you spawn. Also BC 2 has bullet drop and bullet travel time on snipers so it is much more realistic then in MW 2.

I have both, and I can say that both of them have huge flaws.
But still, I'd say BC2, MW2 has a crappy player community, in short, the players are assholes.
BC2 is fun with friends, and if you find a good server. And you gotta get used to it too.
BC2, looks a whole lot better, vehicles, kit based weapons, so you unlock the type of weapon you want to use, not just a bunch of useless ones over time, [b]TEAMWORK[/b] also none of the drop shotting stupidity on mw2.
BC2 if you want large scale team based battles, MW2 for fast paced competitve deathmatch. Both are good for something.
they both suck but i can actually have some fun with mw2

BC2 community seems to have mostly intelligent players, who work well in a squad with you.
MW2 community seems to be full of French, Russian and American kids who think they are pr0 for having a one of those weed banners, eg. Blunt Trauma.
No teamwork at all from my experiences in MW2.
The only thing you get in MW2 for using teamwork is a n00btoober who wipes you whole squad out.
MW2 has awesome singleplayer, while BC2 has crappy one.
I personally like MW2. I played it since release, which has gotten me used to the play style. I am really good at the game, but I absolutely suck at BC2.
MW2 if you want a shitstorm of rank hackers/aimbotters, BC2 if you want a decent game.
MW2 is good if you like playing alone more, or enjoy more fast paced shooters. BC2 is amazing with friends, there's teamwork, but it's more slow-paced and large scale.

I liked both but I actually found less bullshit moments in MW2 than BC2, but the new patch has only been out recently so the bullshit (M60 whores) might be gone.
MW2 isn't really that bad when you don't have Dual 1887 knife pro kiddies killing you.
BBC2, it takes a while to get used to but i thnik they will patch it soon to make it run smoothly.
