Red mesa is a crysis singleplayer level inspired by [URL=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-Life_(video_game)]Half-Life[/URL], the award-winning game from [URL=http://valvesoftware.com/]Valve[/URL].
I knew right from the start that I wanted to make something different from a standard jungle map, and after playing the multiplayer level "Mesa" I knew what I was going to make.
The map started out as some sort of training for me to learn the editor, but it has grown in to something bigger.

[u][b]Story[/b][/u]
Red Mesa, a competitor to Black Mesa located in new Mexico, are building a nano suit for use in hazardous environments. With abilities to move faster and lift heavy objects.
[B]YOU[/B] are the test-subject of this suit. But as a result of a mistake in the testings, the scientists start to fear you. They believe that the suit has corrupted you. Now they are doing everything in their power to stop you.
Now you have to survive everything that is sent to take you out as well as escape the complex.

It's not your fault, but Crysis looks so mediocre when you are inside buildings. That's why everyone makes outdoor maps. Aside from being easier to make(?).

Those pics weren't taken with Very High settings, infact with Medium and very little AA, so that may be why.

Not really, the Core level in Crysis was all "indoor" and I thought it was one of the coolest fucking levels I've played in an FPS to date (well, looks wise).

But I don't know why the OP calls this a mod, when it's more or less just a single player map with custom skins for all the Crysis objects. I guess that can technically be considered a mod but I wouldn't consider it one if the gameplay/codebase/scripting is still the same as Crysis. Also it looks as if all the buildings are being made with solids (aka flat shaded square blocks with a texture thrown on), seeing as Crysis doesn't really have any building objects outside of generic base stuff and tropical stuff.
