Discussion for Dissidia Final fantasy. Idea in dissidia is simply, put 22 characters from Final fantasy in one fighting game, and ta-dah, we got Dissidia: Final fantasy! The plot ( Bored, copying wikipedia ):
Cosmos, the goddess of harmony. Chaos, the god of discord. Reigning from different realms, the two gods had gathered warriors from all lands to lead them in savage war. Cosmos and Chaos were of equal strength. It was believed the conflict would last forever. But-- The balance was broken. Those who answered Chaos's call created an inexhaustible force. And under vicious attack without relent, the warriors fighting for Cosmos started to fall one by one. The conflict that has continued for eons is now about to end in Chaos's favor. The world has been torn asunder, sinking into a vortex of disorder. As for the few surviving warriors- their fates are about to be determined.
Characters include Warrior of Light Firion Onion Knight Cecil Harvey Bartz Klauser Terra Branford Cloud Strife Squall Leonhart Zidane Tribal Tidus Garland Emperor Cloud of Darkness Golbez Exdeath Kefka Palazzo Sephiroth Ultimecia Kuja Final Jecht Shantotto Gabranth So, I got this game for my PSP, and it's fucking awesome. Fighting system is easy to learn, and characters are very balanced ( Exception for ExDeath. He is the slowest villain ever. ) . The fighting is intresting, and you can even save replays of your fights and convert them to mp4. Graphics are very good, and music is awesome. You can also fight online. Too bad this game is yet to be released to US and Europe. Some videos:
When is the European release date anyway?
Holy shit, this looks way intense. Better buy it when it comes to Europe.
Looks nice, I'm glad they didn't butcher Squall in this game.
No Zack Fair? ... Bullshit
Warrior of Light? How the hell did they pull that off? Make you play as the Warrior? Since everybody knows Red Mage is the way to go.
The Warrior of Light looks like shit, really. Would have preferred them selecting a single class from the original game. I don't play Final Fantasy games (often, at least) but it looks like Square Enix is making some bad-ass spinoffs. Crisis Core, Dissidia, Versus Fuck year
I already made this thread... :/
Ahem.
HERHAHA HERHAHA HERHAHA HERHAHA What the fuck that is totally balanced. Slow as fuck like the Heavy, but strong as fuck.

Not bad as ass. And it isn't a main game in the series, that makes it a spin off. Just like Dirge of Cerberus was a spin off but still part of the story.
lol Kefka
Well, I guess I was wrong about ExDeath. By the way, about the fighting system: There is brave-points and health-points. Attacking with brave attack ( Press O ) you reduce opponents brave and add it to your own. By reducing opponents brave below zero, opponent breaks and you gain huge amounts of brave. When you do HP-attack ( Press [ ] ) you do attack that deals HP-damage equal to amount of your brave. Brave will be lost after HP-attack. There is gauge on the side of character-potraid. That's the ExMode-gauge. When it fills up, you are able to go Exmode. While on Exmode, character gains regen and more powerful attacks. The gauge empties over time while on ExMode. If you do HP-attack while on ExMode, you can do an ExBurst after that by pressing [ ]. The ExBurst is very powerful attack which usually deals large amounts of HP-damage. To make ExBurst succesful, player has to do certain stuff ( Memorizing buttons, press buttons on the screen, mash O etc. ) The ExBurst usually are signature moves of characters ( Kefka's Light of Judgement, Omnislash, Blitz ace etc. ). After ExBurst, ExMode is broken and gauge reduced to zero.
They should make the fights in the original FF games like this
as much as I hate anime games, i might end up picking up a copy of this. a couple of those fights looked pretty cool.
Looks cool, maybe a reason to buy a PSP But no Gilgamesh? What a shame
I know I am a bit late, but I am enjoying this game currenly, also made a video just for fun but I enjoyed making it..
No Vivi? No moogles? I am disappointed.
I'm not going buy a PSP only for this, but if they released it for PS3/on PSN I'd get it most probably.
Wow, I remember playing this earlier this year
